When I get the urge to buy a new boardgame, I first ask myself, Is it because I want a new experience or am I just wanting to play more often? It's usually the latter.

Tonight is boardgame night! We have the right number, the right group, and I watched a How It's Played video (thanks Rodney!). Busting out Architects of the West Kingdom off my shelf of shame tonight.

It's cold, how 'bout some HEAT?? #Fantasybooksandgames #heat #boardgames

I'll say it. It's tacky to claim an early victory in all boardgames except chess. Don't do it.

I have one boardgame left on my shelf of opportunity: Architects of the West Kingdom. Why hasn't it been played? My game nights have had too large of a group recently and when we have had the right number, we just play something we already know. Encourage me to get it out next time!?

Sometimes happiness is keeping the kids busy while your spouse finishes reading the rest of their book.

Pretty pumped for this. I've always enjoyed these.

I did it! 1st time playing Cosmic Encounter in far too long. My fav boardgame! Even managed a solo win. Which alien would you like to play? I played the Leviathan. Strong attack power but only useful when I'm the attacking main player. Won against some huge odds (5 players defending) twice. So fun!

You ever do that thing where you order something for a friend & have this desire to tell them immediately, but know that it's even better to absolutely blindside them when you have it? Anyway I ordered the Jaws of the Kraken promo from Europe for the boardgame Captain Flip & got 1 for them too.

It's been one hell of a week. The youngest doesn't have daycare, so I've been trying to keep them busy while I work & running them into pre-school, working from my car outside of the coffee shop (closing early all this week for some reason), then running them back. Thank god it's boardgame night.

So lucky that I get my friends gathered around the table each week for boardgames.

Deny. Deny. Deny. It's amazing/scary how well it works. Really have an urge to play the boardgames Obscurio, Saboteur, or Bang! Dice game.
