Dang the hate flows like tap water over on the X. 🫨

Despite the recent warmth, a little snow may sneak in early Thursday. Temps are undaunted though, 50s both tomorrow and Saturday.

Super-mild day! Oddly enough, we have a blip of snow early Thursday morning. Above normal temps are undaunted, however. Still near 50 by Thursday PM.

It’s time. A thaw & SLOW melt (just what the doctor ordered for the drought) are in store for the coming days. Gets stormy again late next week.

Yes, it’s been cold this winter. Coldest in 7 years, in fact. Miserable comments only.

Final batch of precipitation rolls thru in next couple of hours. Unfortunately, temps have fallen into the 20s in central/northern Mass. This means ice! Increasing winds tonight and tomorrow may cause power outages/damage…more likely where we saw ice today.

Another weekend storm. Starts as snow tomorrow evening, then switches to ice & rain by Sunday AM. Icing could be a concern in central Mass. Especially as the winds kick in late Sunday night/Monday.

Snow is flying, but the trend is toward a transition to mix & rain by morning. Storm wraps by early afternoon. Gusty winds on the backside Friday.

Just a couple of hours away from the snow. Thundersnow is also possible, which could push some spots close to a foot (even in the 5-8” range).

Storm #1: Starts up 9-10am Thursday, turns to ice & rain by afternoon, wraps 4-6pm. Storm #2 starts Saturday at midnight goes thru Sunday. Storms 3 & 4 (possibly 5 by next weekend) are next Tue thru Thu. We’ll tackle those later…timing is all over the place.

This is a nasty band of heavy snow in southern NH and northern Mass. Should ease up after midnight. Take it slow! Roads are mostly untreated.

If you’re looking for snow, this may not be your kind of weather system. Mostly rain Friday, with a quieter weekend. Could see some snow Sunday night, however.

Big earthquake (for our standards anyway) shook New England at 10:22 this AM. USGS reported 3.9 magnitude. Aftershocks are possible in the coming days.

Officially record-setting snow in the Deep South. Mobile, NOLA broke records that date back to the late 1800s and early 1960s, respectively.

Snow starts 4-6p (may begin as rain in E Mass). Wet/heavy to start, then fluffy late night. Snow ends 4-6a. Bitter air to follow, so this will be around for a while.

Snow time. Don’t be fooled by the 40s (and PM rain) tomorrow. Quick-hitting batch of snow on Sunday night.

Five years ago, we were in shorts & t-shirts. While not the warmest, it came within days of what is normally our coldest part of winter.

Wind’s getting to us all. You’d have to go back to December 31st to find wind speeds less than 25mph (with a mere 8.6 mph average) in Boston. 💨🍃

BOLO for SUN in the next ten days. Backyard rinks are a go (again). Stay off natural ice until it's safe. (And even then, no ice is 100% safe.)

Happy New Year! First drops for First Night arrive around midnight. Heavier rain later. Chilly, but not cold.

Well this ain’t right at midnight in late December 👀 60 in Taunton?

Depending on how you slice it, it’s been 5, 7, or 15 years since our last white Christmas in Boston.

Just a little bit o’ snow late tonight and early tomorrow. (No, really this time.) Happy holidays! 🎄🎅❄️

At 19 & 17, today’s highs in Boston & Worcester's were the coldest since 18 & 15 (respectively) on Feb. 4, 2023.

Well my peoples…seems we might have a storm on our hands. Escalating the snow amounts to 2-4 area wide. Slippery evening/overnight travel. For the record, increasing snow amounts hours before an event makes me antsy. It’s sometimes how we end up with “I shoveled a foot of your 2-4 inches!”

I’m a little shaky on the placement & amounts, but something semi-snowy is cooking for Friday night. High confidence in the cold taking hold this weekend, however.

I'd say that seeing 60s this month is out of the ordinary, but we've seen them every December in the last ten years with the exception of 2016/17. (Six times in 2021!)

Tomorrow is a wild weather day. Heavy bouts of rain early on will culminate in a line of storms with high winds by 5-8pm. Gusts could top 50mph in spots. Rainfall 2-4” with highs in the mid 60s! Hang on tight.

Rain on the way out, but temperatures slowly sink near freezing in towns & cities outlined in magenta below. Beware of freezing fog and black ice late tonight!

@petebouchard.bsky.social It looks like we got 8 inches out of yesterday's storm here at Sunnybrook Farm (Clarksburg MA).

1st significant snow of the season for central Mass Wednesday night and early Thursday. That’s part one. Part two is a band of squalls around midday Thursday that could put down a coating all the way to the coast.

Today was the 1st day of climatological winter (Dec-Feb) and it will feel it this week! Rain/snow midweek, then an arctic blast (a December rarity).

Today was a “dry run” for the Thanksgiving storm. It’s a bit windier and has some snow for select locations below, however. 🦃🦃

If you’re gonna have a storm on Thanksgiving, let it be rain, right? Storm flow chart…

If rainfall were a horse race, some towns/cities are getting lapped. Still plenty of makeup time ahead. 🤞

Haven’t been this excited for rain since…the last drought two years ago. And then two years before that. 🫤

At last! Rain inbound Thursday. It’s a soaker of a day with up to an inch of water possible. Winds will kick too. Peak winds up to 40 late Thursday.

Aw, hell. What’s another app? Let’s do this…ya filthy animals. ☺️✊
