“My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.”

In Fairport's Who Knows Where The Time Goes there are a number of quite distinct conceptions of time. a.) Natural time ( the inner clock of migrating birds. ) b.) Dream time ( before the winter fire ) c.) Transient time ( Who knows where it goes. Radical impermanence. ) d.) Changeless time (Love.)

This is how it’s done.

Byline Times is facing major DDOS (malicious traffic-flooding) issues on our site apparently after this article went live... bylinetimes.com/2025/02/21/d...

Don't really know anything about Kanye. Except the news, where he comes across as a complete wanker. I really like this song, tho'. It's really genuinely original, exaltant, and kind of exciting. I don't the genre, Weird Gospel? www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oHd...

I don't really know him; but it seems to me Kier Starmer lacks a personality.

Paul Mason, of all people, taking JD Vance apart on Twitter. Rory Stewart, of all people, on fire. It's Yin & Yang over there. But the politics is unmissable.

Danger of living too much in memories, reflections, too much in past, is that you can end up, late in life, having replayed so often the same times, years when you were in your teens or twenties. And this not only distorts them, it kills them, as memories. It's a terribly unhealthy thing to do.

Having lived through one significant political transformation, Thatcher '79-'84, what it taught me is it's like boiling a frog, you don't notice it at the time, just that it is getting warm. Then you look back and realise you're living in another pond, and all this fauna is dead.

One scenario sees Trump acting like this to loosen ties between Russia and China, drive a wedge. And, if we discount the pure hypothesis of a multi polar world, what might that mean? A new Russia/USA/UK alliance; with maybe China and the EU finding mutual interests. It's feasible.

Let a thousand flowers bloom. Not difficult to imagine Elon's "free speech" as a poisoned chalice. Sure, you can express yourself now, on the internet that never forgets, but who knows what, in a few years - and further integrated data developments, chips, implants - might mean....

Someone on a building ledge ready to throw themselves off, or caught under rubble, and the police/rescue team urge them to keep talking. Keep talking. Maybe its the thing to do, keep talking. A drag? But it's becoming increasingly easy to imagine a world where that freedom no longer exists.

Ambient feel is France is of enormous frustration, and a certain degree of self-recrimination';along the lines of "France, Europe has its values ( distinct from USA/UK ) and Ukraine represents those values. But we don't have the military capability/power to defend them. We have been sleeping."
