For the horror fan in your life, it's always a good idea to gift them something they love. Like a possessed teddy bear telling you to throw your enemies into The Pit...Or the better option: a gift subscription to FANGORIA magazine. 💀🖤📖 Sign 'em up using this link: https://fan.gd/rbs/prm2

The creative process.

Over the weekend, I was lucky enough to attend @shudder.com's 10th birthday tattoo celebration. The trip unexpectedly had me reflecting not only on Shudder's impact over the past decade, but also on my personal journey during those years. So I wrote about that. Link: dailydead.com/celebrating-...

Have you listened to our latest guest episode of @certifiedforgot.bsky.social? We brought on @peterhallhuman.bsky.social and @paulgandersman.bsky.social to chat about their new film MAN FINDS TAPE, then dug into NOROI: THE CURSE (and the parallels between both).

MFT x Tribeca

Director Ryan Coogler's SINNERS continues to kill it at the box office.

😭😭

Really surreal to see the stuff @paulgandersman.bsky.social and I did so much "What if we did ______" spitballing on click with people.

Watched BEHIND THE CURTAIN, the making-of doc about FIRST SHADOW on Netflix. Expected a fluffy, advertorial but got a surprisingly unfiltered look at the creative process and how terrible it often can be. Everyone is miserable and stressed... until it all clicks together. Recommend!

I bought a bumper sticker years ago that says "Art Saves Lives" & it’s been hanging in our kitchen ever since, reminding me daily of something I deeply believe. SING SING turns that sticker into a movie worth holding onto—never maudlin, gracefully directed, incredibly well-acted. Art saves lives.

Describe your favorite movie in the most misleading way possible. High school friends get hired to exterminate some bugs.

The print version of The Onion has been such a special "Oh, I forgot I ordered this" treat every time it shows up. Get you one.

Thank you, New York and Tribeca Festival. You were very good to, and for, our weird little MAN FINDS TAPE crew.

The wonderful people at @arrowplayer.bsky.social let me fulfill a bucket list Blu-ray contribution dream of mine: JASON X. Now I’ve got an essay that only the raddest F13th fans will read. The ones who love JASON X as much as I do. There are dozens of us! 🖤

For my first #Tribeca diary at @crooked-marquee.bsky.social, I checked out VIDEOHEAVEN, MAN FINDS TAPE, RE-CREATION, IT'S DOROTHY!, and ONE SPOON OF CHOCOLATE: crookedmarquee.com/tribeca-diar...

CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD is currently the #1 horror movie in the Apple TV Store (formerly iTunes), is the #3 movie *overall* on Fandango At Home (formerly Vudu). Going to celebrate by grabbing lunch at my local Applebee’s (formerly a Denny’s). Grab wherever you rent or buy movies.

A young autistic woman finds purpose after secretly joining a hobby horse dance troupe in the sweet and charming dramedy HORSEGIRLS. This could legitimately be the breakout film of the 2025 Tribeca Festival. Here's my review: aisleseat.com/horsegirls.h... #filmsky @ofcs.bsky.social

I know it’s been less than 24 hours since my last old-fart video store post, but it’s wild that there’s an entire generation watching Criterion Closet videos for whom standing in a room surrounded by movies and being allowed to pick some is pure pie-in-the-sky fantasy.

Final MAN FINDS TAPE screening at Tribeca is tonight! We'll be there, you should be, too!

"It is a very weird film and there are weird things happening" - Peter Hall and Paul Gandersman discuss Man Finds Tape www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/feature/2025... #filmsky #Tribeca 🎬

Thanks for indulging us! Cast is still buzzing from being able to talk about this movie.

Took the fam to see STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW. Had a blast. Incredible craft on display, and just wild to see a Broadway production of that scale all for a horror story. Rad, gateway stuff.

FRAILTY rules so hard.

Peter Hall and Paul Gandersman bring together literary terror and '80s monster madness in 'Man Finds Tape,' premiered at Tribeca 2025. Review.

I promise to (but will probably fail to) space out the MAN FINDS TAPE talk, but it is very surreal to wake up to pieces like this... www.indiewire.com/criticism/mo...

Well, next to my wedding, that was the best night of my life. Everyone involved in making MAN FINDS TAPE a reality are truly the greatest people I’ve ever know. Our Tribeca premiere was all I could have hoped for. Make movies with friends.

I need to sleep before I actually look at anything on my phone, but tonight was a good night. Thank you to all who reached out, came out, and watched. It's overwhelming.

Our movie MAN FINDS TAPE premieres at Tribeca in a few hours. Not nervous at all. tribecafilm.com/films/man-fi...

In NYC for the premiere of MAN FINDS TAPE at Tribeca. Took a bunch of the cast and crew to Hamburger America. Met George Motz who grilled us up half a dozen green pepper burgers. They did, in fact, rule. That man knows his fucking burgers.

It was so fun doing this podcast with GG at @nofilmschool.bsky.social, talking all about how we pulled together our weird little horror movie with big ambitions. nofilmschool.com/found-footag...
