Hazy sky, low down now but worth looking at this fascinating line up of Jupiter's large planets this evening. They're all clustered together on one side. #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

New Sunspot groups AR4062 and 4064 (upper) could grow in the next few days so we could have an Easter Sunday or Monday Aurora! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Last night's Moon with the stars of Scorpius nearby. The Red giant 'Antares' upper right and the hot Blue giant 'Alniyat' immediately to the Moon's right. More details in the next post 1/2 #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Good morning all! After an exciting evening (⚽️) I had trouble sleeping last night (😁) so at 03.30 I looked out and saw the Moon low down. That calmed me down (😴) 85.5% waning gibbous. #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

After last night's cloudy aurora, a sunny day so interesting to see a new large sunspot group (AR4062) making its way in from the eastern limb. There's also another large spot (so far unnumbered) just appearing on the edge #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Cloud and rain tonight so here's a round up of the past few days of the arrival of the full Moon, named as 'Pink' as it's the first full moon of spring! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

It's the Moon at 01.00 BST! Waning at 99.1% and you can already see the crater relief returning at the top right. #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

There's a ghostly reddish ball in the cloudy sky here in London....it's the waning Moon (now 99.3%) looking more pink than this morning's 'Pink Moon'! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

It's a Sunday #Sun Day! One last chance to look at very active sunspot group AR4055 before it disappears around the corner. Described as 'dangerous' by spaceweather.com #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

The Full 'Pink' Moon at 04.15 this morning (yes, there was a small break in the clouds)! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Too cloudy in London at the moment to see the rising 'Pink' Moon so a chance to share the time the BBC posted my photo from 4 years ago. Still uncertain if it appealed to just 'stargazers' 🙂 #astronomy #astrophotography

Wow! Sunspot AR4055 has been growing since yesterday and is reported to have enough energy for X-class solar flares (according to NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory). #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Venus rising at 05.20 this morning. And yes, I did go back to bed after this! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Whilst I had my telescope out, here's Jupiter and its four large 'Gallilean' moons. #astrophotography #astronomy @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

Telescopic view of tonight's superb almost full Moon! Waxing at 98.9% illuminated.#astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social

This evening's beautiful Moonrise through the 'atmospheric phenomenon' anti-twilight arch of the 'Belt of Venus' en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belt_of... #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.bsky.social @photohour.bsky.social
