I asked this question about the spate of recent plane crash landings… are we hearing about them more because of social media, or is it a growing problem? Same with sink-holes… is this a growing problem globally, and if so “why?” Or are we just hearing it more? www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

The big AI story of the past 6 months is: Companies now claim that their AI models are capable of genuine reasoning. And the big question is: Is that true? I found that the best answer lies in between hype and skepticism. www.vox.com/future-perfe...

There’s a theory often called the “Lindy Effect,” which purports that things that have been around for a long time are more likely to continue to be around for a long time than things that are new. www.cantgetmuchhigher.com/p/why-did-th...

Generative AI once told me that Shakespeare and Tupac were pen pals. Honestly, I respect the confidence. pressgazette.co.uk/platforms/ai...

This week I got to chat to the man what wrote the sing-songs in @electrasy.online … what a lot of fun that was. youtu.be/aF0AGopCG_g?...

Serious question… why are there (seemingly anyway) more plane accidents / crashes / bad landings occurring around the world at the moment? Or is it social media just amplifying the reporting of them, and they always happened but we never heard?

Remember when that ‘Humane Ai’ device was going to be the great hope for wearable Ai… well… www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

$46 Billion spent on the Metaverse Since 2021… all I’m saying. If you have Meta stock, dump it now.

This is a very very bad idea, and @theguardian.com should really know better. www.theguardian.com/gnm-press-of...

Honestly, don’t work with reformed popstars, they’re a nightmare.

Brian Bollands Judge Dredd / Eagle reprint covers are probably amongst the best things he ever did. If you’re a fan of @2000ad.bsky.social enjoy this little gallery of brilliance. comicvine.gamespot.com/judge-dredd/...

This was another fun chat… we go into the technology behind music videos (simple and advanced) during the interview. Loved it. youtu.be/lKiZxHmAGSk?...

😵‍💫 Another really fun chat… this time we delved into the topic of ‘Music Videos’ and dug out a bit of footage from the archives. Lovely stuff. What’s your favourite ever music video? 👇🏻 youtu.be/lKiZxHmAGSk?...

It’s the same PR and spin every other year… and outlets like the BBC report it, keep spinning it, and fall for it. It’s very dangerous journalism. “DeepSeek moved me to tears: How young Chinese find therapy in #AI” www.bbc.com/news/article...

Movie studios who embargo reviews so close to opening night aren’t doing themselves a lot of favours… #Disney and #Marvel keeping the new Captain America film under wraps so late in the marketing cycle indicates it’s going to tank.

Has technology ruined music? Had this great conversation with Steve who rocketed to the top of the charts with @electrasy.online back in the 90s. What do you think??? youtu.be/ILDVt5i20wM?...

This is such a good example not only of the genius of Carlos Esquerra but also the brilliance of 80s 2000AD. There's so much in this pair of panels that is communicated without being said. The fact that it remains relevant after all these years is disheartening, but the work is still genius.
