Which, depending on your definition, makes rich people poor. Or at least, highly anxious.

I just found the book, looks good. Struck by the contrast with people on my timeline arguing about whether people with incomes of £200k are wealthy or not. I've no patience.

Interesting. When was payday, I wonder. Doesn't seem to impact on diet. Unless it's the man's bacon on Friday.
And why cocoa for supper for four days, then tea?

Not doubting it. Certainly looks like Fitzwilliam. Just commenting on the impact of b/w pictures of the north. Feeds a certain mindset.

Definitely had colour photography in Fitzy in 1984. Before that, actually.

Democracy isn’t just voting every few years-it’s about having a real say in decisions that shape our lives. When people feel unheard, frustration grows, and bad actors exploit it. Strengthening democracy means expanding civic engagement, from local initiatives to national policy.

Get Stephen Bush back. He's wasted at the FT.

Are you familiar with the theories that they aren't lies. Rather they stem from a fantasy world in his head, which he has fully absorbed and entered into.

Might mean that. Might not. And it doesn't get too far. Need and stepping in are open to different interpretations. None of them aired.

Steve flood-the-zone Bannon says the media can only cope with one thing at a time because they're stupid and lazy.
But it may be because they're conscientious and thorough.
I know which I value.

Don't know if this will change your feeling. But someone who sounds as if they know, says this isn't a bellwether case.

What's a backstop?
I only ask because there's a fair few words in that piece but none even attempts to explain what a backstop is, or might be.
Which could be important if it's *the* condition for deployment.

Great questions. And not rhetorical. They should be put at every opportunity to the leader of the opposition, until she clarifies or withdraws.
Important stuff.

This is so good, and so helpful in working out what to do.
Which I guess is spend no time at all on bucket one. Provide practical help where you can for those affected by bucket two.
And if democracy matters to you, focus energies on challenging bucket threes.
Good luck to all activists.

Not sure that confirmed brexiters means very much. People can and do change their minds. Often dramatically.
But it's harder to change if other people are calling you stupid. People need space, respect, stuff like that.

Very good. Now try researching sarcasm. Particularly heavy-handed, ineffective uses of.
