So, something I’ve been thinking about lately is that it’s really unrealistic that we don’t get more repeat names in Star Trek for aliens. Like let’s meet another Spock. He’s super annoyed (in a Vulcan way) to have the same name as the famous guy, but it’s an old family name. And he’s an accountant.

I just woke up from a dream where I was in some kind of public speaking class and I had to give a speech about someone’s life and I was going to talk about Shatner. 😂 I know hardly anything about him, so my brain was just making up all kinds of stuff about him. I was also in trouble in that class.

I spent an hour marking the flosses that I have on that sample card thing based on that inventory paper I have, so I’ve been saying all those DMC numbers in my head, so when I looked at the time just now, I read it like that…eight hundred thirty nine. (Instead of 8:39.) Do I have that color?? 🙃

So. The two colors I have chosen look really cool on black fabric. 👀 I could start over and skip all the black cross stitches and use backstitch around all the parts that were black stitches. Also a lot of other colors look cool that way.

Okay, what if the drop shadow is actually just gray, and then the backstitching that covers the rest of the canvas is several different colors? Maybe a rainbow selection or maybe several blues and purples like kind of space-y? Or something like a sunset? 🧐 Or even just one great statement color.
