Trump: "We got to fight the fake polls ... they say, 'Trump only has a 44% approval rating.' Well, that's actually not bad. But you figure that if it were a legit poll, it would be in the 60s or the 70s."

share of americans who say trump admin tariffs will end up costing the usa more money than it brings in in the short term: 70% in the long term: 62% who says most americans aren't financially literate? -gallup

Indulgences are back baby!

Two former Wells Fargo executives were fined $8.5M by the Biden administration for covering up the bank's infamous fake account scandal. Trump just slashed those fines to a paltry $150,000 after Wells Fargo gave $1M to his inauguration. See how this works?

🇺🇦 Zelensky: It is important to continue to put pressure on Russian networks of influence, as well as on all their production and trade operations. We are trying to synchronize sanctions with everyone in Europe as much as possible so that this is a common position, and we already have good results.

💯👀 "Now the Russians are worried that their parade is in question, and rightly so. But they should be worried that this war is still going on. They must end the war," — Zelensky.

⚡️Almost 90% of Ukrainians do not trust Trump, poll shows. The figure has almost doubled since November, according to the New Europe Center.

Peace talks on Ukraine hit a dead end: Putin demands control of Zaporizhzhia & Kherson. He rejected a ceasefire along the front line, insists on full control of occupied regions, and wants recognition of all annexed territories, not just occupied Crimea. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Take a minute from your day and read this chilling story about how quickly we've gotten to where we are.

🇺🇸😮 Trump's advisers have developed an unspoken rule by which they carry out his orders, — The Atlantic ❗️In particular, to carry out any order only after he says it twice. As one adviser explained, this is a necessary rule, because Trump "talks a lot of stupid things."

the s&p 500 has dropped 7.9% from jan 20-april 25 trump’s first 100 days in office: worst for the stock market since nixon in the 1970s

Follow Steve's example. All members of the DC Bar please take the time to vote.

trump with the lowest 100-day job approval rating of any president in the past 80 years

complete batshit insanity

⚡️ Trump’s demands for Ukrainian territorial concessions go too far, Germany’s defense minister says. Germany will continue to support Ukraine with military aid even if the U.S. cuts back its assistance, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said.

President Zelenskyy: "It is absolutely obvious that Russia is actually trying to fool the world - fool America& others -prolong the war further. That's why pressure is necessary…Yesterday's meetings in Vatican and Rome confirmed that our partners understand what's going on."

"Les orages me rappellent le bruit des bombes". Mes parents ont fui la guerre du Liban. À travers la photographie, je cherche à capturer la beauté des orages. C’est une forme de catharsis, face aux sons marquants de mon enfance, perçus parfois de manière inconsciente. www.rtl.be/actu/belgiqu...

Ukraine’s Air Force reports 841 aerial targets destroyed over the past week: 31 Kh-101/Kh-55SM missiles, 7 Iskander-M/KN-23, 6 Kalibrs, 4 Kh-59/69, 442 Shaheds, 114 recon drones, and 237 other UAVs. Around 160 combat sorties were flown.

💬 "I have made a commitment to address problems at their source. If an external operation in Ukraine opens, let’s go. It doesn’t scare me," says former Chelsea goalkeeper Nicolas Tié.

Trump starting to get it?: “Putin might not want to stop the war, he’s just deceiving me — we need to talk to him through sanctions.” “He’s shelling civilian cities for no reason — maybe it’s time to act through ‘banking operations’ and ‘secondary sanctions’,” he stressed. Did he finally wake up

This is really beautiful !

Presidents Trump and Zelenskyy in St Peter's Basilica. These images have already made history. "Very symbolic meeting that has the potential to become historic if we achieve joint results. Thank you, @POTUS," President Zelenskyy wrote after the meeting with President Trump.

To every elected leader in this country: be more like @govpritzker.illinois.gov.

When is it necessary and very good timing to murder civilians?

I love America. But if I weren't from here, I wouldn't dare come here now.

China has returned two Boeing jets, each valued at $55 million. With $69 million in tariffs applied, the cost per plane increased to $124 million. Orders for an additional 130 jets have been indefinitely suspended.

‼️🇫🇷 President Emmanuel Macron accused Vladimir Putin of lying about Ukraine today but the real, and scarcely disguised target, of his comments was Donald Trump. “France’s position is unchanging,” Macron said. “We believe in the sovereignty of peoples & territorial integrity” 1/

Really pathetic shit

Yesterday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that America finally understands Russia's position on Ukraine. The full-scale invasion has been ongoing for four years. What kind of rock have U.S. officials been living under that they failed to see Russia's true intentions all this time?

❗️A Su-30 SM aircraft was put on fire and burned down in Rostov on Don Tsentralnyi airfield - Ukraine Defense Intelligence. It is worth about $50 million. #Ukraine

Some chatter out there suggests that France might revert to ambiguity over Russia under US pressure. This seems like nonsense. Let’s look at what Macron has been saying in recent weeks Today he said that Putin should “stop lying” “There’s one aggressor: Russia. There’s one aggressed: Ukraine”

chinese commerce ministry spox today: there are “currently no economic and trade negotiations between china and the united states.” “if the us truly wants to solve the problem, it should…completely cancel all unilateral tariff measures against china.”

How can the United States have such a hateful person as its president?

🇺🇸🤔

It’s working! As of 8:30 this morning, a total of 22,893 ballots had been cast, representing 25.5% of the eligible voters. To put this into context, since the D.C. Bar was established in 1972, the largest number of ballots ever cast in an election was 10,714 in 1990.And voting goes through June 4!

Trump lost in virtually every foreign policy battleground: - China called his bluff and dictated now the trade war - Iran is doing what it does but more brazenly - North Korea is not even mentioned - allies are either appalled or are even fighting back

Trump, if you have nothing meaningful to say—just be quiet. Actions speak louder than words. If you’ve got nothing, say nothing. Start pressuring Russia, instead of pretending to be harsh via your own platform.

Zelensky: The U.S. said if either side rejected a full ceasefire, there would be strong consequences, including sanctions. I see no serious pressure on Russia now. Zelensky is right: 0 pressure on the aggressor — all pressure on Ukraine to accept harmful terms and surrender.

Let's wake up. He's REALLY unpopular for this early in a term or really ever. President's this unpopular are already losing. Power becomes harder to assert when your power is fading.

❗️Ukraine cannot shoot down so many missiles and "Shaheds": we do not have enough air defense systems, — Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
