I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

When I wrote that I was voting for Harris, two of the factors that pushed me from voting third party to voting Harris were Trump's attacks on the rule of law and his reckless position on Ukraine. Harris was right on those issues, and Trump was very wrong. Feeling pretty vindicated right now.

Let me speak to the DOGE audit language. Many people who work in both the Treasury and specifically the IRS are CPAs. Most audit firms hire CPAs. A 19yo coder has absolutely no idea how to accurately identify waste or fraud. Calling what DOGE is doing as a audit, is a flat out lie.
