REPORTER: Why not show the public the evidence? BONDI: Well, he is an illegal alien who has been living illegally in our country from El Salvador ... He is not coming back to our country R: But the evidence. We're not gonna see the evidence? BONDI: We have the transcripts from the court hearings

I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia. I also hope to meet with Salvadoran officials and with Kilmar himself. He was illegally abducted and needs to come home.

Tariffs are taxes on consumers. His tariffs are contributing to higher prices, not lower ones.

I’M GOING TO KEEP POSTING THIS STORY UNTIL ANDRY IS FREED: Gay Venezuelan makeup artist sent to Salvadoran prison after a disgraced cop's report Andry Hernandez Romero sought shelter in the U.S. because he was persecuted as a gay man, one of the "particular social groups" allowed to claim asylum.

I think I’m right

NEW: California’s suing Trump over his reckless tariffs. He’s abusing emergency powers meant for real crises — not slapping tariffs on allies over fake “threats.” It’s about time. His tariff bullying is hurting California businesses, spiking prices, and dragging the economy down with him.

Depending on your ancestry, you could get a second passport and live abroad. “An increasing number of Americans are now doing this,” said Peter Spiro, a law professor at Temple University who has written books on dual citizenship.

“Pennsylvania is one of the only states still enforcing a Colonial-era statute called the “filial responsibility” law. Under it, adult children can be held financially liable for their indigent parents’ unpaid medical bills even if they weren’t involved in the care or even estranged from the parent”

I can't emphasize enough that the most important thing journalists can do right now is publish exactly this kind of article

I’m about to board my flight to El Salvador, where I hope to meet with senior government officials to discuss the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. I also hope to see Kilmar and check on his condition — and remind him that we won’t stop fighting until he’s home.

My grandson is in AmericaCorp. Good deed doers all. They just received notification that AmeriCorp has been discontinued. They have to journey across states to Mississippi and be completely moved out in 48 hours as of this AM. I’m getting pretty tired of all the winning.

I’m not a UFC guy, but I will absolutely celebrate and enjoy Neo-Nazi UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell getting his a** beat during Passover. Bryce’s previous comments about Hitler are included in this clip.

Republicans are trying to steal an election in North Carolina. They have been laying the groundwork for five months, and unless the federal courts intervene, they just might succeed. If they do, it could usher in a new era of election subversion in future contests across the country.

"I will no longer be able to continue teaching." Hyeongseon Jeon, an assistant professor at the University of Houston, said he had his foreign visa unexpectedly terminated and now must return to Korea immediately. www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston...

Mr. Abrego Garcia was illegally abducted by the Trump Admin and, by their own admission, wrongly deported to El Salvador. He shouldn’t have to spend another second away from his family. I'm flying to El Salvador tomorrow morning to check on his condition and discuss his return.

🚨Attention Members of the DC Bar🚨 Ballots went out today for key positions in the DC bar. Please vote for: Diane Seltzer for President Amanda Molina for Treasurer Note: Seltzer is running against Pam Bondi's brother. Get your ballot and vote ASAP.

My bff’s son works for Americorps and received a decommissioning letter today. DOGE is gutting the program. I’m so angry and disappointed DOGE would go after a program that does such good work. @marisakabas.bsky.social @kairyssdal.bsky.social @katiephang.bsky.social

You know who should lose their tax exempt status and be taxed as political entities for pushing politics loooooooooong before Harvard? Christian Nationalist megachurches that supported Trump and his current brand of fascism.

I came to this country as a refugee. I served 25 years in uniform, including as prosecutor. I now serve as Rep. for a large and wonderful population full of immigrants from all over the world.

Thank you Governor Kotek

Shout out to Berine, to AOC, to Corey Booker, to Jamie Raskin, to Chris Van Hollen, to Jasmie Crockett, to Chris Murphy and a few others... When you show you are willing to fight for us, we will rally behind you! Keep it up! This moment calls for fighters, not career "politicians" #FORTHEPEOPLE

Karoline Leavitt is a liar, propagandist & accomplice to a criminal regime. “There is never going to be a world in which [Kilmar Abrego Garcia] is going to live a peaceful life in MD because he is a foreign terrorist & MS-13 gang member,” she said w/o evidence about a man who's committed no crime.

The Senator will be my guest tonight on @allinwithchris.bsky.social

Judge Xinis to DOJ lawyer: “Cancel vacation. Cancel other appointments. I’m usually pretty good about this in my courtroom, but not this time.” She also agreed to allow the plaintiffs to depose up to 6 administration officials. Good first step, but need accountability.

I cannot convey enough how grateful I am to the millions of you all supporting us with your time, resources, and energy. Your support has allowed us to rally people together at record scale to organize their communities. All with an average donation of $21. THANK YOU & Pa’lante 🙏🏽♥️

They saw the iceberg, stayed on deck, and lit cigars to watch the ship sink the “others.” Woopsie.

Tomi Lahren: "Trump has managed to isolate China from the rest of the world." BTC: "There's reporting now that Japan & South Korea are negotiating trade deals with China... the EU is eliminating Chinese EV tariffs. I'm concerned you're not familiar with which country is being isolated."

In Abrego Garcia hearing, Judge Xinis is going to order intense discovery to determine, among other things, whether the government is in contempt and how to proceed next. The plaintiffs had asked for that discovery in this filing.⬇️

Judge Xinis is following exact procedure used in previous cases where cabinet officials held in contempt. See esp. Cobell v. Babbitt, 37 F.Supp.2d 6 (1999).

Xinis says she's going to force multiple Trump administration officials to sit for depositions over the next 7 days to confirm whether they're complying with the Supreme Court.

Judge Xinis is set to haul the government in front of her bench over the next two weeks and make them explain under oath what they're doing. I know the timeline seems awful given that Kilmar remains locked up. But this is not a case where she can just order him brought back tomorrow, given Bukele.

Out of court. Fascinating to see Judge Xinis in action. My read is that she’s FAST losing patience with the defendants, and skeptical that they will comply with her orders in “good faith” (a phrase she used many times, pointedly). She’ll keep trying, but now she’s building a record for contempt.

This is still my take. Gov't didn't give Abrego Garcia due process, but Xinis has to give them due process before imposing contempt. She's building a record of their noncompliance. She'll draw inferences if they don't give discovery. She's getting there. Guarantee its frustrating to her, too.

DOJ's Ensign giving away store in Abrego Garcia hearing.⤵️ He seems to be admitting here diplomatic efforts with El Salvador are within four corners of Judge Xinis's order (per Supreme Court ruling) and fair for court to ask about them. Removes barriers to compliance and, if no compliance, contempt

We've seen videos like this before, but usually when you see a tearful wife pleading with the kidnappers who have taken her husband, she's not talking to the U.S. president

"After nearly five hours, he and his wife were released. They are now pursuing legal action. "It's not about the immigrants," his sister, told NBC10 Boston. "It's coming to us Americans, and it's going to go after all of us." www.nbcboston.com/news/politic...

NEW: Ahead of today’s hearing before Judge Xinis in Greenbelt, counsel for Kilmar Abrego Garcia argue that the government should “at least” be required to request the release of Abrego Garcia from El Salvador.

THIS 🤨 from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) “Incredibly weird how many people around him seem to get an unhealthy pleasure from other people’s pain and humiliation. It seems abnormal. It’s weird and twisted how fixated they are on a brutal Salvadoran prison, and taking photos of people behind bars.”

Courage is contagious. #Harvard Have the day you deserve.

I joined @durbin.senate.gov in calling out the reckless decision by HHS to rip away $125 million in federal funding from Illinois health departments. I won’t stand by while Secretary Kennedy puts the health and safety of Central & Southern Illinoisans at risk.

Well, it looks like Harvard’s pushback against Trump has fortified a vertebra or two within Columbia’s board of trustees. Here’s a note just sent by the acting university president to the Columbia community. She refers to “overly prescriptive requests” by the Trump gang.

I've been waiting for someone to write this piece! Thanks to @rparloff.bsky.social for doing it
