It may look like I’m praying to the demo gods, but I’m really just looking way up at the steep sitting arrangements and the audience up above me!

Actually making it to a talk for a change, seeing if @philna.sh can make my life easier teaching us how to build an AI agent at @ndcconferences.com

It’s so awesome to be here in Oslo and be just a small part of @ndcconferences.com Oslo. Look at this place!

Here comes a busy couple of weeks! Right now I’m about to take off for San Francisco and Twilio SIGNAL where I’m giving a workshop on building AI email agents. Then it’s on to @ndcconferences.com Oslo for more workshops and talks!

Vector search and keyword search and reranking makes your search more accurate with almost no effort*. I've written up a post on how to build with hybrid search in Python using Astra DB: www.datastax.com/blog/improve... *Ok, it's a little bit of effort, but the database does most of the work!

Have you heard about @firebase.com Genkit? It's an open-source framework for building and testing AI features in TypeScript. It's got a great interface for working with models, flows, prompts, indexers, and retrievers. Today we announced the Astra DB plugin for Genkit.

Took a little step outside the comfort zone today and published a @datastax.dev blog post in Python. Here's several ways you can create vector embeddings for all your RAG needs in Python: www.datastax.com/blog/how-to-...

It’s Langflow launch week! New features to make building agents better and easier. What do you want to see? blog.langflow.org/announcing-l...

Sometimes I look down while working and this silly girl is just looking right up at me. 😍

This is fun! @sonicdmg.bsky.social built an app using Langflow and image generation models that creates a personalised CodeBeast based on your @github.com profile. Mine came out looking pretty happy and cute!

Vibe coding is great for building low stakes, personal projects, says @simonwillison.net: simonwillison.net/2025/Mar/19/.... Makes sense πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ Meanwhile, a Y Combinator start up looks for a vibe coder to work 12-15 hours a day on automated debt collection πŸ™ƒ www.ycombinator.com/companies/do...

So this is cool, Astra DB is already good at vector search, now it's getting lexical search and reranking, powered by NVIDIA. You can combine vector and lexical search into a hybrid search that, with reranking, means more relevant results and better RAG. Check it out here: dtsx.io/3Foy6uZ

If you've got an MCP client (Claude desktop, Cursor, etc) you can now have it interact with @datastax.dev Astra DB. Check out the MCP server that @tej.as built for it. www.datastax.com/blog/astra-d...

Another blog post from me to close out the week: www.datastax.com/blog/five-ge... This is all about what @datastax.dev Astra DB can do for your GenAI app. It's more than just basic vector search, it's integrations, performance and even generating vectors for you.

New blog post for anyone using Langflow to build genAI apps. Here’s how to stream responses from the Langflow API in Node.js www.datastax.com/blog/how-to-...

What I love about working in the AI space is that sometimes I see a summary of a paper and I think, "I understand most of that, let's take a look" and then it's just wall to wall mathematical symbols. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
