I love games and fun and happiness! I have a wide range of nerdy hobbies but video games are predominately my jam. Crpgs like the Ultima series and jrpgs like Dragon Quest are my favorite. Let's be moots!

Me: What the hell did cavemen do while they were pooping? They didn't have cell phones, magazines, shampoo bottles.. My Wife: I learned I was supposed to rinse and repeat on the toilet. Maybe we have cave wall drawings because they were pooping!

I'm currently playing six different games and that's stupid. I need to lock into expedition 33 because it's impressive and I'm only playing anything else to get Microsoft points.

Whenever I hear, "Stones" from Ultima, I am reminded of, "Stairway to Heaven". "Down By the River" from Baldur's Gate 3 reminds me of Stones. Funny.

Today, the entirety of heaven yelled out in unison. "NORM!!" The world is a little less cool today. Good bye George Wendt.

Just got the last parts for my PC yesterday. I have built PCs many times over the years. I cannot explain how much anxiety I'm feeling. I already dealt with all the ram/CPU/SSD stuff that SHOULD be the scary part but no. It's worrying about plugging in fans and psu stuff that I'm struggling with.

Started Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D remake again. I'm on a Switch diet because I can lay in bed and play it.

Finally on the board with credits rolled on Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. Excellent story. The combat system is kinda all over the place but good enough for a real time minus pause kinda system. I really had to push into the game to get into it but glad I stuck with it.

So I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. It's got one hell of a fun story. It's a really great game. I'm forcing myself to play it through before Claire Obscura because I...love.. turn based

Weird truth. I played Oblivion and absolutely loved it. I've started Skyrim so many times and even before it came out, I was so excited... I've never played it through. I struggle to feel the feelings I felt with Oblivion.

Ten minutes into Claire Obscura Expedition 33 and I'm not ok already.

@richardgarriott.bsky.social Is there any kind of documentary that deep drives into the process of creating an Ultima game? I understand the minutia might not be a hot commodity but everyone wants to make games..

They need to deepfake the end of The Planet of the Apes to show Taylor walk up to the statue of Liberty and say, "You did it... You finally did it.. Good."
