It seems almost unavoidable at this point that we are headed for a deep, deep recession. Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.

Elon Musk is completely ignorant or using slight-of-hand to steal from you. Yes, the federal government contracts with Iron Mountain for storage and even uses the secure facility in an old limestone mine in PA. Iron Mountain claims ~220,000 customers. I’m guessing Musk’s companies are among them.

The impending Trump-Musk recession might be a real doozy. Will it be the first where employment is among the leading indicators? Disrupting productive labor removes production and income from the system at the same time. Typically, demand falls first, then production, then employment.
