Those campaigners have a point but fall short of the only sustainable goal. Use of plastic must be drastically reduced! Every time I have a moment of clarity in a supermarket aisle, say shampoos or all the packaged yoghurts, it seems blatantly obvious to me, that this can never be sustainable!

Outside observation, a very American position with regard to power & representation seems to be: “X is a SOB, but he’s our SOB!” So, from each side of the aisle this apparently was the view to such an extent, that both were comfortable with lots of power in the hands of POTUS.

Important proposal! At the same time, reshore production of electronics devices (SMDs) such as caps and resistors! At moment, Europe would not even be able to produce toasters let alone drones, tanks, missiles without Chinese parts in significant numbers. Not for lack of “chips” but basic parts.
