You’re mad at ‘the left,’ I’m mad at ‘the right,’ we’re all mad at the wrong people!

Repost the first album you bought with your own money. I had loads of local punk bands on cassette at this point but I’m glad I don’t have to admit to the one on the left because it’s a 12” single. #technicality #recordstoreday2025 #firstalbum

The resident is defying the Supreme Court. Defying the law is a high crime and misdemeanor. Authoritarianism is already here. Is it too late for Congress to act? It certainly will be soon.

“Gender equality in space tourism” 🤣

Could anyone see this coming? The building and the museum inside are national treasures, but why would we care about that sort of thing if some white people are uncomfortable with what they're ancestors did? www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Among the many, many things wrong with tariff taxes, is that Trump was elected to reduce prices, and even if he were right about all the 're-shoring' that's going to happen tomorrow, that will not make things cheaper, but rather more expensive. Trump-nomics = higher prices, higher taxes, few jobs.

A cogent economic policy. /dripping sarcasm

This part

A Trump supporter I know told me he’d buy a house after Trump won and got interest rates down.

A thing I don’t get, is why Trump is even trying to maintain support. We’ve all but lost democracy in the U.S., do his priorities strike you as someone worried about reelection? I guess, even after gaining all this power, he’s still driven by narcissism.

Prep for the insurrection act www.cnn.com/2025/04/11/p...

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA): "I'm writing to the White House to demand who knew in advance that the President was going to, once again, flip flop on tariffs. And are people cashing in? There is just all too much opportunity for people in the White House and the administration to be insider trading"

Don’t overthink this. He’s asking for bribes.

Prediction: Today (4/9/25) registered the greatest ill gotten gains from insider trading in history.

I wish I thought this was crazier. Instead, read it just in case it’s not. medium.com/@aletheisthe...

Can you even imagine the billions Trump administration insiders are making on their knowledge Trump's tariff-tax pause? They're probably bragging about it on Signal right now! The level of corruption, greed, grift in this administration is inconceivable.

I’m only reposting Rand Paul to illustrate the unifying effect of tremendously bad policy.

An absolute farce that it has *his* picture on it. abcnews.go.com/Politics/vid...

Tariff taxes imposed on penguins. Tariff taxes imposed on allies. Tariff taxes imposed on Ukraine. No tariff taxes imposed on Russia, Russia, Russia. 🤔

"To think you can make a man richer by putting on a tax is like a man thinking that he can stand in a bucket and lift himself up by the handle." —Winston Churchill on tariffs.

I’m interested in this because it’s bikes, but this is also just a really good ground-level view of the cascading impact of these tariffs. www.bicycleretailer.com/industry-new...

Media pundits of every partisan stripe are vigorously reminding you not to panic about your portfolio...just stay the course, with time you'll be fine. You know who this ain't true for? Retired folks drawing down their 401K. Those folks got a huge pay-cut ℅ Trump tariff taxes.

D'you remember all those partisan business cropping up, like Black Rifle Coffee, catering to conservatives who wanted a non-woke outlet for their dollars? Wonder how $BRCC is feeling right now that we're bringing coffee production back to the states with across the board tariff taxes? Oh, wait...

Robert Wolf on Fox News: "This big beautiful economy that actually was rolling pretty good with jobs and inflation coming down feels more like the Game of Thrones red wedding. I mean, it's not going well."

Or on your bike, or, and this one makes me want to build a portable guillotine, on a hike in the forest.

Worst day for a CEO who wasn’t caught embezzling ever.

Suppose your big US business makes cars or shoes. MAGA thinks you're going to build a steel factory or sweatshop here in America *and* find workers to fill it, to avoid the tariffs. When in reality, instead of risking $Bs of investment, you're just going to wait until this blows over.
