My Beleaguered Boxer turns one this month which means it’s time to turn it over! Here are some of the best hits from a year of building my deck mid-game with booster packs. Today I’ll be seeding the deck with 36 new packs and premiering it at MC Chicago where I’ll start building it all over again!

Aetherdrift was my second set working as a Creative Text writer for Magic! This was a wild one, a grand prix across three different worlds that let our team flesh out old planes and contribute to new ones. It's always a joy to help make Magic's universe feel a little bigger.

Kept EDH data for a year! Game count was 123, win count was 37! If I were doing this again, I'd track less info about opponents (largely useless) and more about turn count and stuff. Unfortunately I will not be doing this again as it feels like homework!!

I've worked on Magic's story once and been on three different creative text teams and in that time I've never seen somebody phone it in. But there's also no way to please every fan or fulfill every headcanon people develop over the years

Always thought it could've been neat if Karn, based off the conversation he had with Tezzeret in BRO (I think?) decided to embrace his role as Father of Machines and attempt to rebirth Phyrexia into New Argentum or something.
