Turns out all of those people who wrote books and magazine articles and commissioned polls about how the dire threat to academic freedom was powerless freshmen asking for trigger warnings rather than the most powerful people in the Republican Party were cynical and dishonest gaslighters.

When the rail cars bearing the entire Bellevue Nikkei farming community pulled out of Kirkland on May 20, 1942, their early crops were nearing harvest and the midsummer crops were in the ground. Almost none of them ever fed anyone. 1/34
