I did it! I recreated Whirl Islands in R/B using ACE I plan to shiny hunt Lugia here via Missingno soft resets and stat checks :)

hey, what are all the instances of colored text in gen 4? does anyone remember any offhand other than the red/blue/green for cyndaquil/totodile/chikorita in the HGSS starter selection screen and the blue used to denote key item text/bag symbols? i'm totally blanking and need to know for a project

ok, december ended up kicking my butt again but i just responded to all of the emails i got sent on BMF while on hiatus (aside from a tiny handful i need to respond to a little later) and also made a to-do list of priority bugfixes/corrections, then completed all the easy ones. whew

making BMF has given me such an appreciation for longterm pokemon sites like serebii and dragonfly cave. maintaining all the pages on a site for years on end is a lot of work. i am only starting my fourth year and BMF is practically an infant compared to other sites and i still know this to be true

i’m thinking i might start work on redoing BMF’s entire codebase today. this would be the third time since the site’s inception, though the last time was a while ago in 2023. this is the issue with BMF being my first web project ever - i’m learning as i go and things get outdated.
