The "information environment" was that Trump told everyone he would do it, and his supporters waved signs saying they wanted it, and then he did it. They only "didn't vote for this" in the sense that voters simply never accept the consequences of their actions, no matter how obvious.

I’ll tell you what, though, @zackpolanski.bsky.social is making himself heard. He was on tv, and he’s in the Independent. Green Party voices getting some traction is something to be very much encouraged, and Zack also seems pretty sound with his values. I’m approving of this.
