One to watch. David Lammy suggested to me last week that UK might not retaliate to US tariffs. “It’s a cross-party position that we’re an open, free-market society that doesn’t believe in tariffs, in either direction." Ministers hoped UK might be less of a target as runs trade deficit with US.
