Feeling overwhelmed from all the trump created chaos in our country? Get outside and remember there is still beauty in this world.

Columnist out of conservative Indiana making these remarks. Keep on boycotting all unnecessary spending beyond food and medicines. Vote with your dollars. A purchase in trump’s economy is a vote for his agenda.

Shameful to be making cuts to Native Americans. How about we cut out the entire Executive Branch of our government instead?

Wondrous, white, winter wandering while in the wilds.

Camping season begins in just over two months! Start gathering your gear and soon enough you will feel the peace of sleeping under the stars.

As a seasonal park ranger in a state park near my home, news of these firings slay me and bring tears. My heart goes out to these rangers, their love of those they work with, passion for the job and desire to protect public lands. So much destruction to those things we hold dear!

Despite the darkness being spread by the government, stepping out into the beauty of nature takes me away.

Winter walk…

Dark skies looking foreboding yesterday afternoon on Little Traverse Bay in northern Michigan. They ushered in cold temperatures overnight, only one degree this morning.

Gray on gray day in northern Michigan along Little Traverse Bay. Saw four bald eagles, one adult, three juveniles in a tree along the bay. Love winter with its cold embrace.

Breaking up with Amazon and Republican supporting Bezos has brought so many benefits. Rather than things being just a click away, I now think before I buy, causing me to buy less which helps the planet. When I do buy, I’m buying locally, supporting my friends and neighbors, helping my community.
