Tidy bit of pyro outside El Rincon in North Street, Bristol, ahead of a very tasty match vs 'Boro.

Some half frame snaps, taken before Bristol City against Swansea. Used a late 80s Canon multi tele.

4 matches in 5 days... City vs Forest the best, an amazing night on the Big Bank @officialecfc.bsky.social, brought back memories of watching my first FA Cup match in the Cowshed back in the mid 90s.

Sam Bell warms up. Bristol City 2, Blackburn Rovers 1.

Book 2 for 2025. It's really good, at times brilliant. David Peace is a special writer. There were times when I felt the constant repetition, the dialogue heavy patterns, could have been edited a bit. But the voices are utterly involving.

🚨Cycling Books🚨 A new podcast about cycling books where I speak to authors about the books they have written. Kind enough to be the guest on the first episode was @friebos.bsky.social who talked to me about his book on Jan Ullrich podcasts.apple.com/ie/podcast/c...

Away day, Coventry City Vs Bristol City. One of the better spiritless, out of town retail park stadiums. Walk to the ground was all ring road and suburban confusion. City were chaotic and we lost.

Book 1 for 2025 and it's an absolute ripper. Smashes the genre bits and then says amazing things about people along the way. What a brilliant writer, I'll have to space out the others along the way.

Creeping layers of fog at Ashton Gate yesterday. Fortunately Luton were terrible.

Christmas Eve walk. 6 festive miles, with a trip to Heron Foods to get a loaf of white bread for the kids' Christmas present.

Absolutely freezing cold away day at West Brom. Fans were amazing, Bristol City were terrible. Happy Christmas!

Argyle brought 3000 fans to Ashton Gate. They spent most of the match singing about how shit they were, fighting amongst themselves and cheering the City goals as they flew in.

I can't ride for another 3 months (because horrendous spiral humerus fracture), so I go for walks instead. Today Victoria Park, Perret's Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery. I ❤️ Bristol.

Having not posted on the other place for literally ages it feels awkward getting back into the swing of things. I write books, most recently The Maurice Burton Way, prior to that, End to End, along with a couple of others. Currently having a breather, thinking of new things.

The year is 2005. Scunthorpe and Brentford give us a masterclass in sticking your foot in. Feast your eyes on this chaos. The ball is just an innocent bystander…

This is my Graceland. ❤️ The NTT20 Monday Pod is really special. Ali and George have created something pretty iconic. To be asked to stand-in and host it was a real honour. 🎙️ I just hope that I did everyone who loves the pod justice! 😅 #EFL
