It doesn't matter what your feelings are about Israel or Palestine, the simple fact is that Palestinians haven't accepted the status quo post 1948 and never will. They clearly won't be bombed or starved into submission. The only road to peace is a negotiated settlement between all involved parties.

This is a perfect example of the poverty of Silicon Valley's understanding of the world. They seem to actually think that anything worth knowing is accessible online, which is patently false. Among other things, this is why AI won't be able to do a lot of work anywhere near as well as people.

I hate doing this, but I have no choice, so here goes. I need Patreon subscribers, please! For what I expect are obvious reasons, my pro bono case load has tripled since January. Even though I am already a "pay whatever you can" lawyer, I now have more nonpaying clients then paying ones. (Cont)

It's truly sickening how eager our leaders are to celebrate the murder of innocents. Nothing reveals their fundamental moral depravity more than these moments when their masks drop and they bathe in the suffering of those they consider subhuman.

The relative absence of bomb shelters in Palestinian towns and neighborhoods within Israel is a particularly stark example of the different level of services provided to the two populations. Even in the "mixed cities" there is a clear disparity from one block to the next.

So great.

it's an election year. now is not the time to criticize andrew cuomo for an established pattern of sexual assault

A key to understanding US leaders' celebration of Israel's attack on Iran is to realize that many of them were young during the hostage crisis. The Iran hostage crisis was to boomers what 9/11 was to gen X: a blow against the empire that was felt as a personal affront, never to be forgiven.

CNN highlighting the death toll in Israel, even though civilian deaths in Iran are an order of magnitude higher, while portraying Israel's unprovoked bombing of Iran as solely targeting its nuclear program.

I believe the biologists call it convergent evolution.

Whenever I'm feeling down I'm just going to look at this little guy for five solid minutes.

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Maysara. Maysara wanted to be a content creator and to get married before this. He has since lost his home, income, injured his hand and his brother was martyred. He is trying to take care of his parents and his brother’s children.

'Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson said the suspect was posing as a law enforcement officer. “Suspect exploited the trust of our uniforms, what our uniforms are meant to represent.”' Correction: he exploited the trust of some people in those uniforms, others know exactly what they represent.

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Wissam. Wissam was a dentist before this, he lost his home and his clinic. A few weeks ago his brother Aziz, a journalist, was killed by an air strike. Wassim is taking care of his nieces and nephews now Elen, 5, Ahmed and Fedaa, 3

Not really surprised some people are defending the indefensible today. After two years they’ve had a lot of practice

Some folks clearly would be happy to have the Shah's progeny still running Iran. Just think how different things might have been if we hadn't overthrown Mosaddegh and propped up the vile Pahlavi regime. But no, it's easier just to assume everyone hates us (and our proxies) for all our freedoms.
