Texas snow day!

My frizzy Fred, frizzy Lizzy, and miz America mizuna looking full and happy.

This winter was predicted to be mild for me. How mild?Since October, there have been 9 total chill hours. Which is an hour at or below 42 degrees. My yard looks and feels like April right now.

The completed fireplace.

I'm turning one of our registers we don't use during the winter into a fake fireplace for Christmas. I ran out of bricks, so I need more. My coworker "warming" his hands at the fire.

The underworld gate is growing nicely. Who knows what horrors it will spawn.

One of my cassia bushes blooming in full force.

I feel so crushed. Crushed that my country, when presented with a path of hope, growth, progress, said nah..I'll take hate.

It's been a bit! here are more plants! I have a tiny collection of winter veggies going. I love this time of year. It's the no real stress garden time. Much as I love tomatoes, summer gardens stress me out.

I saw some neat stuff at the Museum of the Weird.

Zinnia, cosmos and toothache plants I grew from seed.

Hi friends, just a heads up for the solar eclipse. I'm stoked to get to see a celestial event. Normally it happens beyond my horizon or on an overcast day.https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/texans-to-get-the-best-view-of-ring-of-fire-solar-eclipse/
