This is an important point I think. Opposition to Musk isn't based on philosophical or political views. It's between people who know when they're being conned and people who don't. Whether we still have a functioning country after this depends on how many of us fall for the wallet inspector gag

@radiofreetom.bsky.social the US didn't become the guarantor of peace in Europe just to oppose the Soviets. A forgotten but very important reason was to stop the French, British, Germans, etc. from wanting to murder each other every few years and dragging large chunks of the world into it every time
