Ay yai yai, the SCC. Seeing that absolute trainwreck be brought up again in 2025 made me have a thousand yard stare. The one bright side to unfortunately being a part of that community 10+ years ago was learning all the ways NOT to critique someone, especially someone less experienced than you.

The inner critic is one of the most cutthroat voices you have to face on a regular basis, it's one you can't escape. You have to live with it. Having support from others is great, but it'll never matter if you don't believe in it yourself. That you CAN do it. Even if it hurts, every step counts.
