If the US had modern high-speed electric trains like Japan's, they could be faster than flying anywhere within about 1,000 miles. While planes fly fast, travel to/from airports, security, runway/taxi time, baggage claim, etc. are slow. Here's what a 1,000 mile radius around Denver looks like.

That’s it - I’ve seen the dumbest commercial - Air Canada where the girl is sad that her backyard rink is melted SO SHE GETS ON AN AIRPLANE to fly somewhere for a magic potion to freeze the ice and you know what would actually help preserve backyard ice?! 📉

It really is now or never. Previous generations have had to make great sacrifices - can we at least make some little ones? A plant-based diet and giving up flying are not the hugest of inconveniences, if you think about what's at stake for even a minute.
