-heads going "Why didn't our focus-tested (on groups who HATE this IP) approach magically work?" while the admittedly unfairly treated developers who lost their job over this mess are now full on head-in-the sand insisting they made a misunderstood masterpiece when, let's be honest, they just didn't

I'm looking at Life is Strange here heavily, because I think it's such a blatant example of a fandom whose devotion has clearly been what kept the brand alive through the years, who very clearly communicated what they wanted out of any potential sequels - and somehow executives are scratching their-

I just hope it's not the end of the franchise and they can course correct, True Colors was what made me into a fan, I don't want the whole thing to burn down the second I realized I'd been missing out.

They put out a new one at the end of last year, it brought back Max but was basically as disrespectful as possible to anyone who cared about the first game and tried to be a soft-reboot into an MCU-type plot. It did not go over well.

Drinking my second of three daily coffees, playing Super Robot Wars J on my phone, and fielding my bestie's wild theories on how maybe they can still make an announcement that will un-ruin the new Life is Strange. Pretty average Tuesday.

It’s just crazy to me that people think the richest man in the world would have the public’s best interests in mind when controlling the national budget

The way I've not met a human being who reads ASM has got me convinced it's literally NOBODY but speculators purchasing them at this point

Two comics I strongly enjoy, one I think is completely sauceless but I can get why people like, and one I think you actually have to be morally opposed to fiction as a concept to call good. Gonna be a fascinating one for sure.

I think "putting the toys back in the box" is one of the most harmful ideas in a multi-author comic and causes the opposite intended effect. Instead of freeing up writers to utilize whatever aspects of a setting they'd like it tends to saddle them with controversial, last-minute whiplash in an -

I don't understand why they are so adamantly against serving burritos with potatoes in them

That's why they desperately want to "teach" kids that it's bad to want accountability from the rich and powerful. I heard a quote that really stuck with me yesterday, "Why is it we condemn violence at an individual level, but not at the policy level?"

A plea: it's not enough to post "Fuck Trump" and some meme. Do not trust big "activist" accounts that ONLY do that. If we want to make a difference, we have to actually CALL OUR REPS and support the local groups that are actually defending vulnerable people in our community.

Spent today sick as a dog reading comic books on my phone since I couldn't do much else, honestly wound up a decent destress day after last night. Sometimes the only way to handle horrible times like right now is to let yourself enjoy the downtime.
