Veterans Affairs Secretary Douglas A. Collins took to social media to tout sweeping cuts to contracts that he said would save the department nearly $2 billion. But the 875 contracts on the chopping block help cover medical services, fund cancer programs and provide burial services to veterans.

UC students tell university to stand up to Trump executive orders, protect diversity programs

Just saw my CPA to do my taxes this week and he was freaking out about DOGE firing 6000 IRS workers during tax season. ("where do they think the money comes from!?") I should have told him to call Congress.

Protests and calls are fine, but if you want Republicans to do anything to stop Trump, they need to know how their constituents are being directly harmed. VA surgery cancelled? Call a Republican Lose your federal job? Call a Republican Your research grant cancelled? Call a Republican

Ohioans can reach Husted through an online form at husted.senate.gov or call his Washington, D.C. office at 202-224-3353. His Ohio offices haven't been set up yet.

Constituents can email Moreno using an online form at moreno.senate.gov or call his offices: Washington, D.C.: 202-224-2315 Cincinnati: 513-684-1021 Columbus: 614-469-2083 Cleveland: 216-522-7272

Here's the key - if Trump is weak, he can't pass his agenda. Trump is weakened when GOP members of Congress push back. They will only do that if they hear about impacts to their constituents. So the strategy needs to be lean hard on Congress, especially vulnerable Republicans in swing districts.

"Other Republicans consider federal agency officials powerless to call off DOGE. They’re instead focusing their efforts on the White House as their offices are inundated with calls from frantic constituents." Impacted by DOGE cuts? Call your member of Congress.

A growing number of congressional Republicans are desperately trying to back-channel with White House officials as President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency ramps up its slash-and-burn firings of federal workers.

Is Trump's red wall starting to crack right here in Ohio?

ABC 6 called Moreno's offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Washington, D.C. All were sent to voice mail, with the voice mailbox in Cleveland being full. A call to Husted's sole office in Washington went to voicemail.

Job cuts hit CVNP: a planner, engineer, biologist and member of the maintenance staff were all hired in the past two years and their last day on the job was Tuesday. The park also does not have clear direction about the 40 seasonal workers it normally brings on board in the spring.

High prices at the grocery store have led to record need at Ohio’s food banks, according to the Ohio Association of Foodbanks, but this year’s state budget calls for cutting millions of dollars in funding.

hooooooly shit

Setting aside the fact that multiple people all of us love would be dead without these drugs, the Trump administration adding Big Pharma to their hit list strikes me as the latest dumb decision on their part. I mean, there's an "Our Dumb Century" page that almost specifically addresses this.

it seems the anti-corruption laws are inconvenient

This started with a handful of people in Columbus last week, now it's going national
