I hadn't thought about this language really, but Ryan's right: we live amid a generation like unto those who were forced to wander for forty years. They will die in the desert. (I was just thinking about Numbers last night as I was reading more of Sonderegger's Systematic Theology!!)

Its occurs to me that observance of Holy Week is a profound moment of truth for Christian faith. Deep rooting in the traditional liturgy, when it is not modified beyond recognition by trendy manipulation, is an antidote for the kind of "Christianity" that we see propping up the MAGA ideology.

today I got a big pile of topsoil dropped into the bed of my truck so we could cart it out into our garden, and NGL, there’s something about having lots of stuff to cart around that makes having a truck worth it that just feels cool (this is something the “Big Truck Guys” don’t get!!!)
