That is some A+ snark in the creator bio. Well done. No notes.

Income inequality is currently more severe than it was during The Gilded Age.

"When I Die" by Fenton Johnson. This will be the first of a series of Black History Month posts that'll run throughout February.

Okay February, you seem nice, but I just got out of a VERY toxic relationship with January so I’m not looking for anything too serious right now. So we can hang, we can have some fun, but the second you make me cry I am OUT

It's cool how Republican's plan is just always to cut taxes on the rich, no matter how low the taxes are and high big the wealth divide is. There is no limit. The tax rate could get to zero and they'd try to come up with negative income tax for billionaires only.

"Experience" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'm sympathetic to people who "Don't want to hear about politics all the time" but unfortunately "politics" for the average person will probably get much less abstract in the near term. It's going to get harder to get through a day without going "Wait it's legal for them to do that?"

"Math Math to the Math Math" by my nephew Toby

I doubt it will surprise anyone to hear that drawing is how I stim. I do, however, also find it very meditative. This is doubly so for still lives. Ever wonder why thousands of artists have painted fruit piles throughout all recorded history? This shit is peaceful

A plurality of the people who quote MLK Jr. out of context would've spat in his face in 1964

"April Weather" by Edith Franklin Wyatt

David Lynch is gone, but his weird art is still with us. Other people will continue to make weird art. Some of it will be great. ...but it won't be the same.

Why do I suddenly need subtitles whenever I watch absolutely anything? This wasn't an issue in the extremely recent past

The “let history judge the abusers of today” people and the “you can’t judge yesterday’s historical figures by today’s standards of abuse” people are the exact same people; they don’t care about history, they just categorically oppose judgment for abuse.

"The Endless Song" by Ruth McEnery Stuart

Lots of writers and artists joke about how they have a notebook/sketchbook that is too nice to ever, EVER use. I'm trying to not be that person. The person who gave me this sketchpad wanted me to fill it with drawings, dammit

I thought facts didn't care about feelings so it's weird that people felt so strongly about having them checked
