I'm not having Fraser Nelson playing dumb on the rise of racism on the right after years spent printing Murray, Liddle, Taki and Shriver. I literally had a DM row with him years ago where I said this would happen.

An underrated problem with two-party politics is that it sends us a clear signal that the world is binary, that you are either for us or against us, that things are simple rather than subtle and multifaceted.

This is one of many examples of trust that takes a long time to build and a short time to destroy. People accept relatively poorly paid jobs in the public sector because the work is interesting and the jobs tend to be secure. How long would it take to rebuild trust in the security of these jobs?

If there’s one thing that needs less scrutiny and regulation, it’s nazi brain implants.

In a market economy, where the ecosystem is the market, regulated by the government, the company that had this idea would have gone bust long ago and we would not have wasted $70bn of investment on something that is obviously so bad.

If the problem with using LLMs for anything requiring factual accuracy is that they don't know or care if something is true, then presumably the problem with using AI for creative work is that it doesn't know or care if something is good.
