At Pearl Harbour, an old guy was wearing a t-shirt that said "If you don't stand behind my soldiers, feel free to stand in front of them," and I wish more people made it clear that you should avoid them.

We were only in Noumea, New Caledonia for a few hours, but I was struck by how friendly the locals were. So many people greeted us with a bonjour, whether while buying groceries or jogging past us.
