Tech jobs have been one of the few paths to upward mobility for poor kids like me—where skills matter more than pedigree. It’s hard not to see the bigger picture in Elon's world: an economy driven by billionaires, defense contracts, and a workforce kept desperate and disposable.

May the 3 ghosts of Christmas work their magic tonight. They are long over due.

Here’s how CNN is covering Donald Trump’s threats against our allies:

That a right-wing lawyer just suggested before the Supreme Court that Americans don't have a right to not conform is... a real mask-off moment in a way I suspect is not going to get enough attention.

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike. I WANT to see news and actual vetted work and I WANT journalists to get rewarded for it. Because I want to live in a thinking human world over some AI generated slop dystopia

Sarah McBride: "It is an attempt to distract ... Every single time we hear them say the word 'trans,' look what they're doing with their right hand. Look at what they're doing to pick the pocket of American workers, to fleece seniors by privatizing Social Security and Medicare."

The modern right couldn't care less about freedom, they only care about control. That's obvious in our doctor's offices and schools but perfectly crystalized in their reaction to Bluesky.

I'm not normally one for "live action" remakes of good movies but I can't think of a better time for the feel-good, positive masculinity of HTTYD.

There is nothing "conservative" about undermining and dismantling the United States government. There is nothing "conservative" about destroying National Parks and protected lands for short term profit. There is nothing "small government" about injecting politics between doctors and patients.

Word of the day. Or week. Or next four years.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Why are FBI background checks a "norm" and not a hard requirement and what can be done to change that / mandate them for high ranking cabinet positions in the next few months?
