One thing I miss about not having a turntable and records anymore is this record. I haven’t figured out a way to hear it. I’ve been told it doesn’t exist by aficionados then I whip out this pic and piss on their head. It’s a monstrous show. One of the very best I’ve ever heard recorded. 🔥 lol.

For some reason, I have it in my head this is a decent “first Kintners’ song.” If you’re in the market for that, doesn’t cost anything. This is a dark folk song with some blues too. Lots of new follows and conversations again today. Thanks for that. Enjoy. thekintners.bandcamp.com/track/smoke-...

I’ve been on a historical music type kick. Lots of banjo. Rhiannon Giddens has a few songs available on this album coming out very soon. When I think about musicians who contribute with their music to music in general, she’s probably the first one I think of. Enjoy! music.apple.com/us/album/wha...

We used to say, “fix it in the mix.” Over time, I’ve come to be one of those “fix it in the performance” types. It sounds better, and it feels better. No reason not to practice parts if other folks are going to be subjected to it. Feels better to give them something kick ass.

I’m not saying Tom Petty made a bad album. I haven’t heard one. But if I had to pick, I’d take Jeff Lynne over Rick Rubin sounds any day of the week. A lot of folks are different. Hell, I think Tom was. It’s just that me and Jeff Lynne have similar ears or something, is all. Rubin just raw dogs it.

This was written shortly after Tom Petty passed away. His two albums, “Full Moon Fever” and “Into The Great Wide Open” were huge to me. This is an indie homage to that mellow style rock he made on those and many more records. Thanks.🙏 thekintners.bandcamp.com/track/gray-m...

So, that was a fun experiment can we kick their ass to the curb now? There’s way more of us than them. Right? Right??

Don’t forget these folks.

Don’t play this one much. But I’m very glad to have it for when I need it. Taylors are funny to me. Working a guitar store, they don’t sound bad. But they do largely sound the same. This one is a variance. Mid 90’s, California, maple. Has a sound I need sometimes.

Folks on social media give Texas a hard time when it’s really a handful of rich shits that make the place awful while cutting funding for education. It’s not an anomaly, it’s a pilot program. President loves it. www.texastribune.org/2024/06/21/g...

Looking like a grilled cheese kinda’ night. My mother was a horrible cook. She put picante sauce in the dressing once. Whole jar. Anyway. She made this one time I had a sleepover. I made grilled cheeses for me and my guest. I made a lot of grilled cheeses. I still love them.

Here’s a song about manned space exploration to the moon Album artwork by A.Byrne (1967-2013) #space #nasa #musicsky

In case anyone is worried about me if they reply, I love talking. I just don’t dig projection. Aggravates me fierce. If you’re willing to avoid projection, I’ll talk all day long with a smile on my face. Thanks.

Went to a zoom call with ProPublica and 4 journalists reporting on DOGE. If you haven’t read some of WIRED’s coverage, hope you make time for it. I think DOGE is kind of a big thing. Tech Bro Gestapo, White Collar Gestapo, want more?

Went to highschool and played in a few bands with this man. He’s a great guy and does a lot for songsters around town. Proud to be friends. He made a new album. Congrats on your album, if you happen to see this, James. Enjoying it. music.apple.com/us/album/how...

Here’s one I wrote that Keri sings. Enjoy. Thanks: thekintners.bandcamp.com/track/my-own...

Mussolini said fascism is a marriage of corporate and state powers. These folks are throwing in Jesus too. A three-way. Haha.

Unfortunately, blaming anyone other than the NRA for the gun crisis is off base. It’s not all out wrong to blame republicans, but they were bought by the NRA. We had a gun bill with 92 percent approval after Sandy Hook, before the NRA stepped in.

Here for your #americana #rock #MusicVideo needs. Thanks! 🙏

Do you ever wonder if trump is like the opposite of a tree falling in the woods scenario? If no one listened to the president, would he even say anything?

Me keeping up with the news.

If you happen to be up for a classic rock sound with lifting vibes, I hope you give this one a shot sometime. Also, Hammond organ for the win. thekintners.bandcamp.com/track/the-fl...

I learned when I was a trucker that when you drive from LA to Orlando, you spend 1/3 of the time in Texas. Over 900 miles. I kinda’ hated it, but at least it was mostly flat. Lol.

I buy these by the box, give them away.

A bunch of folks all over the world have opinions about Texas politics but no knowledge at all about how it works. Don’t you think that’s just as dumb if not dumber than Texas?

In the past, when I forgave someone, it was often more about me than them. I had to tell them I no longer held a grudge for something they did. When I tried to live a life of honesty, forgiveness went out the window. Everything someone does is intel about them. I don’t forgive them, I remember.

The dog suggests a nap. I think she’s on to something.

This is an album I got not too long ago. Rocked my world. Made me crave simplicity in a way I typically lack. I’m usually simple the bad way, not the good way. This album epitomizes the phrase “simple but not easy.” A new goal for me. #songwriter jeffreymartinportland.bandcamp.com/album/thank-...

Our music is free. Feel free to take us up on that. Party at the end of the world. 🎉 The least we can do is bring some tunes. Enjoy if you’re able, thanks. 🙏 - link in profile, songs posted routinely. Thanks!

If you want folks who are legitimately worried to not be worried so much, acknowledge them. Telling someone not to worry right now isn’t ideal. Worry is valid, appropriate. It’s much better to worry with them than belittle them, in my experience.

Prison is always in the news..it’s the USA. 🇺🇸 Prison is part of the structure here. Sweep poor folks under the rug, throw them in prison. thekintners.bandcamp.com/track/15-years

Lots and lots of folks disable comments. I have yet to utilize that option. Just letting you know, in case you’re someone who actually likes being social on social media. Thanks.🙏

With this + their DOGE coverage that shines lights in dark spaces, just by covering technology, WIRED is illuminating the world for me lately. I love this outlet, also see their DOGE coverage. Mind blowing.

When I see folks talking about democrat strategy for 2028.

All day long and twice on Saturday. Thanks so much!🙏

You can tell who has heard of RFK JR prior to the campaign and who hasn’t. The ones acting surprised today are new to him.

Medication is a part of my life if I’d like to keep going. I try to keep up with news articles concerning pharma, but it’s hard. There’s a lot. Could be something like this, unless you click the button, you never know. Glad I clicked it. www.propublica.org/article/glen...

Apophenia is one of those things that is very common and accepted. Today, I will call pattern-seeking behavior when I see it. Most often, I see it in regards to “History repeats itself.” It doesn’t. German nazis didn’t have social media, for one. Would have been a lot different if they did. Hate it.
