Curious about where you are getting your sources for this?

Oh my.. he’s dead wrong. War only happens when we run out of diplomatic solutions to solve problems. Less wars are a result of us being better at problem solving.

This kind of law is called an “entrenched clause” and has its own Wikipedia page. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrenc...

This kind of legal lock-in could potentially be used to self regulate ourselves into existential risk. It’s necessary that the rules we create for ourselves are able to change, s as circumstances and challenges we face will continually change.

Talk to your neighbors instead of walking past them and nodding. Join a dancing class. Have empathy for people. Connect with strangers. Live your life, it’s okay to be righteously indignant but it’s not worth it to be basing our identity on the foolishness of others.

Knowledge is power, informing yourself on those who will lead us will allow you to make better decisions about the things they say.

I think we both agree - we have criminal courts, and the criminal court is indicting him because he can not pay back what he wrongfully took from his customers. He plead guilty and will hopefully go to prison.

Yeah I agree. Many crypto coins are blatant scams and people should be protected from fraud. But also people should do their due diligence before putting their life savings in untested institutions.

Celsius should pay the money back to these people because they defrauded them, not because they are stupid. Society should protect everyone from fraud

There’s a difference between providing for those who are intellectually disabled and providing for those who make uninformed decisions. Tell me, if I max out my credit card to buy a luxury shoe and I can’t afford to pay it off, should you be required to reimburse me?

That is one aspect of what reducing government would look like. Less subsidies to help those with capital.

Only acts of congress can enact federal departments. Also this administration hasn’t even started. This whole plan is ridiculous, stop calling it a department. It has no power right now.

Google has the market share because they make the best product. Breaking up Google will hurt consumers. Software is so expensive to build. Google relies on ads to keep itself free to use. People value free to use software. Breaking up Google will cause everything people value in Google to get worse.

Every platform is susceptible to disinformation campaigns. Moderation is what keeps the discourse civil

I agree mark. I think the more perspectives we have the more open and honest discussion we can have. As you said, as long as it's civil. So much hate is unneeded.

To maintain a healthy community you should look at hacker news. There are a few things that make it work:
- strictly laid out guidelines
- full time moderation by dang; he does a wonderful job
- artificial barriers to commenting. You need at least 5 upvotes from users before you can comment
