An enterprising Democrat would recognize an opportunity to accuse the president of being soft on crime.

Elon is attacking somebody falsely and egregiously because they are a real astronaut

Horrific: One of the USAID programs Trump just terminated was set to deliver lifesaving treatment to hundreds of thousands of starving kids abroad. Much of it is now sitting in a Georgia warehouse. Rubio's promise to preserve urgent assistance was a lie. New piece: newrepublic.com/article/1921...

Good god Republicans - it’s not worth it. Your country, your ethics, your self-respect, your soul - selling all of them for what? To keep your job? So no one yells at you? Why?

On changes to #NIH indirect rates, there is a law in place that prohibits NIH from making such changes without the approval of Congress. See Division D, Title II Section 224 of The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law No: 118-47) grants.nih.gov/grants/guide...

I really can’t stomach this video of the geriatric “opposition party”, proving themselves physically and fundamentally incapable of entering a government building because Elon posted a skinny Nazi doorman in front of it. Like… they’re lecturing him?? I’m so fucking sick of these spineless slugs.

Elon Musk is moving fast and breaking things that can’t afford to be broken.

It was sadly inevitable... In the midst of the hasty work done by Musk and his teenagers, who are not trained to be sensitive to NATIONAL SECURITY concerns nor likely care about them, they just likely outed many intelligence agents, putting them at risk and destroying their capabilities.

Can someone explain to me like I’m a 5 yr old why Musk hasn’t been arrested yet?

Democrats, this weekend is D-Day. You must go out tomorrow, take up as much space in media as possible, get in front of cameras, shout at the top of your lungs. None of this "egg prices!" stuff either. The narrative has to be "Trump and Musk are seizing the government and pursuing retribution."

Lol this photo should be used in every story about him from now on

A thought: Donald Trump fired the head of TSA, illegally fired the entire Aviation Security Advisory Committee, put a hiring freeze on FAA air traffic controllers, and is trying to get other federal employees (including air traffic controllers) to quit.

Maybe regulations and keeping qualified, experienced people in their positions is a good thing for the United States and our safety and security. But, I guess it's more important to destroy the "woke mind virus."

New from me: OPM, basically the government's HR, now includes people with backgrounds at Musk's companies at its highest levels. And while the takeover of USDS as DOGE has gotten a lot of scrutiny, the changes at OPM have been much much quieter. @wired.com www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

The FDA recently approved a bioengineered blood vessel, which becomes part of a patient’s body over time. It’s designed to help treat victims of traumatic injuries.

WTF??

Where, pray tell, is the appropriation for a federal worker buyout? One constitutional abuse after another just to render the government inoperable.

There is simply no plausible argument that the president has the constitutional authority to refuse to spend appropriated funds because he doesn’t like how the money is being spent. The legality of policy impoundments is just not a close question.

Does anyone notice how all the headlines about Trump's flagrantly illegal actions and orders simply describe what he's doing, and rarely even mention that it breaks the law? The newspapers and news outlets have given up on the idea that the law even exists, apparently.

POTUS is shutting the US government down, except for immigration enforcement and military activities. That’s the story. He’s shutting the whole government down. He’s closing up every aspect of the United States operation, except the parts with guns.

The same people who tell you that there’s no way around the 2nd amendment allowing everyone to own whatever firearms they want, including functioning imperial fighters, will say that the 14th amendment is very complicated because “thereof” used to have a different meaning or some other nonsense

Couldn’t say it better.

Dude. I'm Pissed. youtube.com/shorts/zBYoY...

TL;DR: There’s no new intelligence. A China hawk lab leaker took over the agency and decided to make this the position, with “low confidence.” How unexpected.

If the US federal government stops funding basic research, that research won’t happen, and China becomes undisputed scientific leader of the world.

I’ll never get over that all of this was avoidable and our kids could’ve had a better future had voters just made the obviously rational choice in November. It’s water under the bridge now. But what the fuck, people.

“The dismissals appeared to violate federal law, which requires Congress to receive 30 days’ notice of any intent to fire a Senate-confirmed inspector general…” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

How is “this directly conflicts with federal legal requirements for removing IGs” not a part of your subhed? www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Better late than — no, actually. Worthless late and fuck the fuck off.

Anyone who ever again suggests that the GOP is the party of the police or the party of law and order should be laughed out of the room. There has never been anything like this before in modern US history: the president pardoning people who we all saw on live TV assaulting police.
