I went out to take photos of my friends kiteboarding yesterday. Didn’t realize there was a cat hair on the lens almost the entire time 😑 #kiteboarding

I had no idea how to warp this loom for tapestry. I couldn’t find instructions, so I kinda based it on a drawn diagram of what it looked like set up. I definitely have more wastage than I wanted, but hopefully now I’ll know what to do next time. #weaving #fibreart

I've been struggling with painting lately so I've started weaving again. I feel so much better about the things I'm making, even if it's not as popular as my other work. It's also really nice not to worry about the whole AI thing #weaving #tapestry #fibreart

This is how my weaving project turned out! I was going to cut it up and make bags out of it, but I loved it so much I decided to use it as a very cozy long scarf! #weaving

I reactivated my instagram account so I could keep in contact with the local weaving community. It took a week for me to realize just how bad that app is for my mental health. Deleting it from my phone again.

It's actually starting to look like something! I just need to work on keeping my edges consistent. I don't remember it being such a problem when I learned how to weave 20 years ago, but now I'm really struggling with it. #weaving

Took a break from weaving to finish this tiny illustration. #traditionalmedia #illustration #art

So nice to learn something new! #weaving

Had my first weaving class with the table loom. The instructor was really great and we found ways to make it work with my disability!

Work in progress! In other news, I bought a wetsuit and it seems like my partner might have been shortlisted for a job interview. I’m being cautiously optimistic, but good things could happen. #illustration #traditionalmedia

As much as I like watercolours, it's hard to use them when I feel shitty and just want to chill out on the couch or in bed. I haven't been making much art because of it. I picked up some markers to use in my sketchbook, so hopefully that will solve the problem! #illustration #art #traditionalmedia

A grumpy mushroom from my sketchbook. #art #illustration #traditionalmedia

Woven mandrake with needle felted details. Not the best because it was my second time weaving something in a shape, but not bad! #weaving

I signed up for a table loom weaving class. Things are a little bleak at the moment and I needed something to look forward to. I've used a big floor loom before, but it was a little difficult with my disability, I'm hoping this won't be too much for me. #weaving

This required the tiniest little paintbrush. #art #illustration #traditionalmedia

A small painting on some scrap paper. I used color pencil to draw the faces and it came out looking a bit blurred, I might try fixing it up digitally. #art #illustration #traditionalmedia

I’m going to a glass fusing class tonight. I’ve never worked with glass before and I’m excited to learn something new!

I'm still working on this one. I just have to finish up the grass at the bottom. I thought about turning it into a shadowbox or a tunnel book, but I'll see once it's done! #traditionalmedia #illustration #art

My partner came home from work yesterday, I told him to look at the news. He asked if I wanted to go for a drive. We got coffee and went to the beach. We sat there quietly, watching the ocean, except to occasionally say something along the lines of “wtf just happened”

I can’t wait for the snow to melt. I don’t hate winter at all, but I definitely prefer green grass and wildflowers. #art #traditionalmedia
