The newest budget numbers out of NSF are... not good. We're looking at worse than worst case scenarios for U.S. research universities. That's in addition to all the other attacks. Every person w/ a word processer and an hour of time should be penning an op-ed to their local papers this weekend.

One thing that's really cool about trans people is how prepared and resourceful they are. For one example, I was over at this trans girl's place and she had a dog bowl with water in it set up even though she didn't have a dog. I guess to be prepared for any strays! So considerate!

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes. You can find and call your senator here and ask them to do that. Please share as well.

It’s true; people should stop leaving Biden out of the story of marriage equality. The other thing is, though, people leave out the impact of normie gay people being all “we just wanna live our lives, and we’re pretty much like you.” That narrative was powerful. It changed a lot of minds.
