I just read Persuasion for the the first time, immediately watched the '95 movie and now I absolutely need a 4-6 part series that fully tells every part of this story in detail. I really didn't enjoy Mansfield Park and was nervous to finally read the last book. It's immediately my favourite!

It was really cool to be invited to Parliament today as a Science Content Creator to celebrate the launch of the STEM feed on TikTok in the UK. A big thanks to MP Gordon McKee for hosting us. Plus I got to hang out with this bunch of talented stem nerds. #stem

Episode IV: A Teens Hope Episode V: Reality Strikes Back Episode VI: Revenge of The Over 30s

Hi there. I'm Abi. I'm a physicist doing my PhD in plasma acceleration at University of Oxford. I also post a lot of scicomm around the science of science fiction under the handle Pop Culture Scientist. Would love you to join my nerd space. #science #scifi

I keep seeing variations of this popping up all over the gram. There has been no breakthroughs in quantum mechanics that would allow for human teleportation. They're just engagement farming.

This month I'm talking all about the science behind Event Horizon. We'll cover black holes, wormholes, other dimensions, space travel before we finally chat about how the movie used these ideas. I thought I'd start with a reaction video...forgot how terrifying this movie is!

Week 4 of Silo and me being aggressively positive about the casting of Steve Zahn as Solo. Can I hug him please?!

Hi. I don't know how to find people here!! I'm Abi, I'm a scientist. I post science of scifi videos as Pop Culture Scientist and I get a bit nerdy about how fast spaceships can go. I'm trying to get better at posting what falls out of my brain. I think that's the point of this right?

Musk and his fans are fantasists. There is a reason that soft robotics has so much research and development. Because there is a legitimate safety issue when having hard component machinery around humans. Also, they are not autonomous so what use are they to households?

Wicked the musical is Barbie. Wicked the book is Oppenheimer. You can like both but they will give you very different feels!

I don't think I know anyone here. If you like science hello. If you don't like science but you like scifi...that's a weird combo but hello. If you don't like science or scifi... we should talk about your priorities in life.

I thought we were all on threads but apparently I needed another social media account. Are the rules different here? I don't think my brain is ready.
