I love videos like this as when I was a teenager I dreamt I did something similar a few times. In my dreams I would be falling, then open my coat and stick my hands in the pockets. The air current would stop the free fall and I would glide through the sky using arm movements to change direction.

Love this. Ice skating played a big part of my childhood at the local Mecca ice rink in the 80's. They had a djs at the sessions too which primed us for the clubbing years. They also introduced a sport called Iceball which was a version of basketball on ice and was influenced by the film Rollerball.

On hearing the news I listened to 'Down In The Tube Station At Midnight'. I never considered until now how powerful it was that three working class, White men put out an antiracist song in 1978 during a period when the Far Right were on the rise (again). RIP Rick.

This is so true. I first noticed it on Facebook when it recommended I follow the BNP page, Britain First etc Eventually I realised that the algorithm knew I was a middle aged, British football fan but hadn't registered that I was Black so was trying to direct me towards the Far Right.

America is wild. You would think that this would be obvious, right? I've always assumed that in these cases they would be forced to hand their guns over to the police but no in some places it seems they rely on self declaration. From abusers. Smdh.
