incredible that anyone manages to have a baby without their mom. she has been changing my diaper, she gave me a bed bath, and she has been holding the baby so i can like, use my hands ever. don’t want to send her back to America at the end of the month.

nurse took off my bandage and my c section incision looks shockingly not that terrifying. it’s like perfectly on my bikini line crease and should blend right in. also i didn’t get any stretch marks thank you god for this small reward in the face of my suffering.

little dude finally came yesterday, a full week late, after 30 hours of labor and an emergency c section. thank god my mom is here bc i can’t even change my own diaper let alone the baby’s lol.

in case you’re wondering how i’m doing, i woke up and cried for a half hour while making french toast bc i woke up to what i thought were stretch marks on my stomach after making it all the way to term with none. mom said no it’s from your shirt. it’s been a few hours and they’re gone. was my shirt.

husband is going to be interviewed for a BBC podcast to talk about the papal prophecy tomorrow at 4, which means i will probably go into labor tomorrow at 3:30 bc it would be the most inconvenient time possible for the child to decide to be born.

due date day! baby is 7.5 pounds and showing no sign of budging any time soon lol. OB said I have to call labor and delivery to schedule appointments every other day until they decide to come or we resort to eviction.
