I played the "fretless wonder" last night and decided to play the actual fretless MIJ Fender Jazz Bass tonight. I love how narrow and thin the neck is, even smaller than my Ibanezes (is that the plural of Ibanez?). Probably, time to change the strings, if I can remember what ones I put on last time

In a Gibson mood tonight, so I picked up the Les Paul. It's an odd one, a fretless wonder with NO weight relief. It's got P100s (parallel wound, stacked humbuckers) which I love, but many people that want P90s don't like them (because they're not P90s). I always liked the way this plays and sounds!

Went down a YouTube rabbit hole and blown away by just how good Mahalia Jackson was, what a shredder Sister Rosetta Tharpe was, and the immense amount of talent hiding behind corny jokes 🌽 on Hee Haw

Played the D'Angelico 12 string acoustic last night. Tonight I started Straturday early. I'll admit other guitars may sound better, but I think the Strat is one of the best feeling guitars made. It always feels like coming home

"For the last time Mr. Bezos, I don't think the world wants a bald American Bond, and we are not going to rename the villains Sheinjob, Golddigger, or Temu Galore."

One of my favorite ignorant internet arguments was someone claiming Lava was a blatant ripoff of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's style. To which the creators response was pretty much, um yeah. It's supposed to be. We're huge fans!

Whenever people talk about the possibility of teleportation, they always imagine traveling to exotic locales. The reality is they will probably be used most often to beam home to use the bathroom rather than at work/public restroom

Please clear the snow off of your cars before driving. You don't want to cause an accident or be sued into oblivion for hurting someone (many of us have dashcams). If you're not tall enough or able to clear the snow from your vehicle, ask someone for help. I would gladly help to keep the roads safe

if you see this, post something orange

Nile Rodgers Chaka Khan Jimmy Jam Terry Lewis Grace Slick This Sly doc has some serious potential

I'm getting tired of seeing a certain word, but I can't mute it, because I'm afraid I'll miss someone talking about one of my favorite hair metal bands youtu.be/j0k4crSv7x4?...

I normally watch all music docs, but I knew Luther's cousin and someone else who was familiar with him and I think I'd just rather keep those first hand accounts from them in his memory. I am however excited to watch the Sly doc!

Present me was mad at past me for using all the pasta sauce. Luckily, another past me put a fresh jar in the pantry, so all is forgiven

Spent a long time tonight with the Gibson SG 70s Tribute and Epiphone Dot. Always surprised how good the Dot sounds for the price. Only issue is a little neck dive

Tuning a steel string: 1/4 turn, strum, perfect Tuning a nylon string: Twist, twist, twist, sounds the same, twist, twist, twist, same, twist, twist, twist, lower somehow, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, slightly higher, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, close enough

I haven't played my nylon Taylor in a while, so I think I'll give the fingertips an easy workout tonight

I know I have lots of skeeps that are into vintage synths. Saw this today. I don't know anything about it, but seems like a good deal. Someone needs to grab it before I get too tempted by it cincinnati.craigslist.org/msg/d/cincin...

Finished my favorite pizza places list, getting one from each of 6 places over a month and a half. I think I'm doing fried chicken next, since I've already done two, with 3 left to go

Fender once made a Hendrix Strat with the writing on the headstock backwards so you can stand in the mirror and look like you're playing a right handed Start left handed. I think Gretsch should make a giant oversized White Falcon so you can look like 5' 3" Malcolm Young holding his

My 5 favourite male vocalists in no particular order… pass it on… Smokey Robinson Lucky Dube Chris Cornell Sam Cooke George Michael
