'And you know that we did all right - we were pleased to join the pantomime ... ' the mighty SHRAG, with a magnificent, heart-rending version of Coda - on one of the two BBC sessions (ten-inch vinyl), released on Friday at @precrecs.bsky.social

For some unfathomable reason, the nice people at @groovy-times.bsky.social wanted me to answer some questions. So I did. It's here under the 'Indie-Pop Gems' banner with a nice picture of @theloftuk.bsky.social groovy-times.com/precious-rec...

As of today, it's waiting for you in your favourite record shop. Huge thanks to everyone who has had a part to play in its creation. xx

Loads of great stuff here at @groovy-times.bsky.social ... plus an interview with me. Thanks so much for including @precrecs.bsky.social in such august company ...

Here's a bit of Chesterfields review from @acloudtotheback.bsky.social @freqzine.bsky.social .. big thanks ! Still available here -- preciousrecordingsoflondon.bandcamp.com/album/pre-04...

Happy Twin Peaks Day, my friends ☕️

'The Green Telescope may only have been around for a short time in the mid 1980s but this really is a fantastic release'... thanks @welshjb.bsky.social @intocreative.bsky.social for reviewing our recent release @dexterpoet64.bsky.social – still a few available. intocreative.co.uk/into-music-e...

the zine in between #2. lovely little fanzine this. only needs some songwords and it’d be the indiepop smash hits. only a few copies left via @precrecs.bsky.social

If you haven't got the Groovy Little Numbers singles, then I strongly suggest you try to dig them out. Here's a pic of Big @joemcalinden.bsky.social back then ...my head has already exploded this week, but this makes me happy like yesterday

My first band was called The Groovy Little Numbers. Here is a very rare live pic, me probably singing You Make My Head Explode (we only had about 3 songs at the time - one being a cover of Astrud Gilberto’s version of Windy). We released a couple of records on 53rd & 3rd and that was that ✊🏻

Last week started well and carried on even better ... @petepaphides.bsky.social kindly shared his 'Sensitive'-based Soho Radio show with @precrecs.bsky.social ... let's call it a soundclash ... have a listen here. The songs are great even if I'm talking nonsense sohoradiolondon.com/show/pete-pa...

Never coming down. I could spend the rest of my ridiculous life thanking these beautiful people for running with my absurd pipe dream and it still wouldn’t be enough.

This was magical. My head exploded. At least three times. Thanks to @petepaphides.bsky.social and everybody else involved. A truly beautiful night.

'Jangling guitars, harmonies, urgent vocals and a rhythm section that is locked into a hip-swiveling groove' .. that's what @welshjb.bsky.social @intocreative.bsky.social has to say about The Chesterfields in session! intocreative.co.uk/into-music-m...

'A stunning return from the one time Creation Records favourites ...' thanks @welshjb.bsky.social @intocreative.bsky.social for reviewing our single from @theloftuk.bsky.social

Now here’s something you don’t do every day … tea and cakes with half of @theloftuk.bsky.social and @wiaiwya.bsky.social at Mario’s Cafe in Kentish Town. Couple of songs from the new LP and the world’s greatest B-side (‘Got A Job’) as we all held up our phones to film some vids. Jolly lovely.

Nice review of the Saloon (Matt’s old band) Peel sessions LP.

'Distinctive and languid lo-fi sound … They draw regular comparisons with Stereolab and Belle and Sebastian' – thanks to Dave Goodwin at Penny Black Music for reviewing our Saloon @keepingitpeel.bsky.social sessions album @theleaflibrary.bsky.social pennyblackmusic.co.uk/Home/Details...
