Thank you to the great ECB team on the ground with me here at the #G20 meetings in Cape Town.

It was great to connect with colleagues from around the world at the #G20 meetings in Cape Town in South Africa.

Today marks the third anniversary of Russia’s unjustified invasion of Ukraine. We continue to stand with the people of Ukraine, who have been suffering through this horrific aggression.

A productive day in Brussels at the #Eurogroup meeting. We discussed: 🔹Bulgaria’s progress towards adopting the euro 🔹The macroeconomic outlook and prospects for the euro area

🇪🇺 Always a pleasure to catch up with Petra Hielkema, Chairperson of EIOPA, our neighbours in Frankfurt.

Great to see President Roberta Metsola ahead of my dialogue with members of the European Parliament. We at the ECB are committed to dialogue, accountability and transparency towards parliamentarians. @europarl.europa.eu

I'm in Strasbourg for my annual dialogue with members of the European Parliament. Ahead of the meeting, I met with ECON Chair @aurorelalucq.bsky.social. @europarl.europa.eu

I encourage all PhD students in economics or finance to apply for this opportunity. It’s crucial that we understand the challenges facing our economy, so I very much look forward to meeting you and discussing your research at this year’s #ECBForum. Good luck to all applying!

🇸🇪🇪🇺 Today, we remember the victims of the fatal attack in Örebro. Such horrific acts of violence have no place in our society, especially in schools. The victims and their families are in our thoughts, and we wish them strength during this difficult time.

Horst Köhler, former German President and IMF Chief, was a dedicated leader who served with integrity, vision, and a commitment to Europe’s prosperity. His contributions will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family and all those who were touched by his work.

Together with President Ursula von der Leyen, I wrote this piece discussing the actions needed to restore Europe’s competitiveness. @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu

At today's press conference, the Governing Council decided to cut interest rates by 0.25 percentage points. We are confident that inflation will sustainably reach our 2% medium-term target this year, stated President Lagarde. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETdr...

Today we cut our key interest rate by 0.25 percentage points. We are doing this because inflation is developing broadly as we expected and is on track to settle at around our 2% target. Read more www.ecb.europa.eu/press/press_...

Delighted to welcome European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to the ECB this evening. She'll join Governing Council members for an informal dinner discussion on Europe’s economy.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the millions of lives lost in the Holocaust. The ECB’s Grossmarkthalle site is a sobering reminder of this history. This year and every year, we must stay vigilant and unite in the face of hate and antisemitism. #WeRemember

It's always a pleasure to welcome BIS General Manager Agustín Carstens in Frankfurt. The ECB continues working together with the Bank for International Settlements on many topics.

I was honoured to receive the Lamfalussy Award and give a lecture in the series named for him. Alexandre Lamfalussy helped pave the way for Europe's monetary union and the establishment of the ECB. Read my lecture www.ecb.europa.eu/press/key/da...
