Saturday night boredom level: randomly installing a bunch of old versions of Windows in VirtualBox for no particular reason

Back when I was in college my dad saw that I listed my “religious views” on Facebook as “atheist” and he was taken aback because I was “only 19” I still don’t know what he meant by that. Does he think there’s a minimum age to be an atheist??

I feel a little better now

Elon Musk: ✅ From South Africa ✅ Delusions of grandeur ✅ Has an offensive amount of money Flintheart Glomgold: ✅ From South Africa ✅ Delusions of grandeur ✅ Has an offensive amount of money 🤔 🤔 🤔

I think I'm going to sign out of Bsky for a bit until I'm ready to stop thinking like a grown-up for a while

Things have gotten entirely too serious around here the past couple days. Clearly I need to post myself playing with my toys some more until the vibes are more chill again.

The root of almost all my clashes with other leftists is that their philosophy rests on the assumption that I care about other people for their own sake and not solely because they may benefit me, which is something I am simply not capable of. I do recognize that I am the weird one here, though.

The people who put the "It's OKAY to be DIFFERENT" posters in our elementary schools 30 years ago are the same people who are now insisting it's imperative that we use the word "weird" as an insult towards fascists and not as a neutral descriptor of someone who is different in an unusual way

reposting possibly my best tweet from the other site

It's worth noting that even if the transactions Elon claims are fraudulent actually are fraudulent, it's super not in his purview to make that determination, much less act on it It's like if I said I have the authority to slash the tires on as many cars as I want as long as they're illegally parked

does anyone know what it means when your mouth tastes like soap for a week

We can argue endlessly about what constitutes "work" or being "made" to work, but ultimately my stance comes down to: I will not do anything unless it benefits me personally I will work "for the good of the community" only provided that I am part of the community that benefits from my work

I don't understand how I could possibly be expected to hold anyone else to be as equally important to me as myself when myself is the only thing I can know with absolute certainty that I will always have.

[in anarchist facebook group] hey the communists are calling us all pussies. they say we don’t have the guts to take him down. [alt-tabbing to communist facebook group] the anarchists are dunking on us bad,

A distressing number of white people assume having light skin means I, as a biracial person, am exempt from any and all effects of institutional antiblackness That's...not how that works They literally view the world in terms of black and white

when i say "do not kill the part of you that is cringe, kill the part of you that cringes" i am 150% serious about it

Hand drew a silly dog meme

do you think if i go on twitter and tweet a tweet that's nothing but the words "second amendment" devoid of context, all of elon's sycophants will yell at me about threats of violence? i'm not going to do it because it would require unlocking my account, but it's a funny idea

Just because you're being Gunslinger Girl'd doesn't mean you don't get to have a little Nichijou as a treat.

One thing I miss about web forums? Nice big images for avatars. Modern social media avatars are tiny circles too small to make out any details. Instead of coming to think of your friend as noted fictional character Yuki Nagato you think of her as a nonspecific vaguely purple-themed anime girl.

I'd be curious to see a study about the correlation between widespread adoption of the Internet and the move from straightforward descriptive brand names like "Atlantic Broadband" to meaningless but SEO-friendly brand names like "Breezeline"

the cute emo girl yells “I have a potato: your argument is invalid!” do you: a.) get unreasonably angry because “she thinks just saying the names of food automatically makes her funny!” and fog up your glasses as you sulk on your laptop out of hidden jealousy b.) have an orgasm c.) both A and B
