I notice that when parents have rules for the sake of power and control, little thought goes into intentional teaching about how to communicate, and children learn by default what not to do or do what was modeled.

This. THIS. I saw so many clips of the nazis walking. So many people up in arms about it. So many shocked (😒) by it. What I didn’t see? Action steps like this to counteract their moves. This is what we need to uplift.
