oh god I just realized we’re gonna get some James Bond origin story prestige series where he’s at a prep school gala and gets carded trying to order a martini and then winks straight into the camera

THE PENGUIN design team won last night at the ADG awards. We represent over a hundred wonderful artists: art directors, illustrators, storyboard artists, scenic painters, construction crew, props, set decor folks...and all taller than me :) My love and gratitude to all!

With music score by Kid Rock!!

A 71-year-old woman and others have died after oxygen supply was cut off and hospitals shuttered after Donald Trump announced a freeze on aid funding.

The voting has started on THE PENGUIN ADG nomination. I'm very proud of the entire art team, and truly honored to be nominated. WISH US LUCK!

Well said, Pete Buttigieg

NYT reports an air traffic controller’s seat was empty at DCA last night www.nytimes.com/live/2025/01...

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last. Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

Kind of sucks that we didn't at least get a Roaring Twenties before what's about to come

This is the final scene of THE PENGUIN, and one of my favorite sets. We took over a modern loft on the 33rd floor of a downtown historical building, and transformed it into a decayed hotel ballroom. I wanted OZ /The Penguin to be watched by the angry Harpies witnessing his murderous ascend to power.

Can a headline alone be eligible for a Pulitzer?

It feels surreal to announce this nomination for designing THE PENGUIN when my mind is with all my LA colleagues…This is for the talented art & set decor departments. I bow to you!!

Congratulations to this exceptional human being and actor! He thanked craft service next to our showrunner, Lauren LeFranc. If this production design thingy doesn’t work out for me, I know where to try next!! #ThePenguin

Happy Holidays from The Penguin who knows how to improvise!

2024 was a great year for film, so many fantastic accomplishments and fresh point of views. It's hard to pick so I put together my LUCKY 7 choices...

I recommend no fewer than 4 copies of any beloved book. A paperback for traveling and lending to friends, an eBook for reading with greasy snack fingers, an audio book so you know how the characters' names are actually pronounced, and a pristine hardcover to be buried with you like a pharaoh

IndieWire is featuring videos and articles about the prosthetics make-up, VFX and production design of THE PENGUIN. It's an opportunity to see how these seemingly different elements come together to create a complete image of Oz's trajectory from a low level mobster to the top of the crime chain.

I don’t think there’s a public institution I love more than the library.

This year I'm grateful for THE PENGUIN and the opportunity to create a Trolley Depot, which I named the 'working man's cathedral'. I'm grateful for Lauren for writing this set, and for the incredible art and set decorating departments, which brought every detail to life. HAPPY DAY OF GRATITUDE!

Okay but hear me out: A nighttime bookstore in which the only lighting comes from lanterns, tea is served to all who enter, there is an emotional support owl in each section, and a buy one / get one free sale occurs during every full moon.

Why I love visiting LA! Can’t wait for my next visit…

If civil war breaks out, meet me at the library.

When making THE PENGUIN, I was well aware that our main character resembled a certain ruthless, street-smart villain with cartoonish hair. For the finale, I designed a ballroom with frescoes of Zeus' Hounds, a/k/a the Harpies angrily watching the Penguin and plotting his demise for a better future.

Sums up the current state of the US politics

For my first post here, allow me to introduce myself - this is the most current show I was the production designer of... Ask me any questions about it!
