Bring him home…👇 No more excuses. Bring. Home. Abrego. Now. ✨ #BringHomeAbrego

the transfer to El Salvador of US deportees is, per Pres Bukele, a straight up contract that has “nothing to do w/foreign policy.” The fees we are paying makes their entire prison system “sustainable.” Don’t see how US can make argument that bringing A-G back is some sensitive foreign policy matter

Something my mind cannot stop thinking about is that in the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Trump admin ADMITTED that he was wrongfully deported and they they still are fighting as hard as they can to not bring an innocent man home because it will make them look bad.

So all the White House political reporters are spending the weekend getting up to speed on the Abrego Garcia case and litigation related to the gulag in El Salvador so that they can prep good questions for Bukele’s visit on Monday, right? Right????????

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.

Don't overlook this: Trump is leaving Abrego Garcia to rot in a foreign gulag even though the admin can always bring him back and *retry him for deportation in a lawful way.* That they won't do this shows their case against him is nonsense. New piece from me: newrepublic.com/article/1939...

Just a reminder that these are the people purporting to be outraged by antisemitism on campus. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/11/u...

But they did say to bring him back so…

One way to know if you are living in a democracy is whether you are able to express dissenting political views without fearing negative consequence from the government.

If I were Judge Xinis, I would order the government to produce, in her courtroom, officials who were in a position to answer her questions and to do so under oath. Letting DOJ continue to prevaricate and deflect responsibility in written submissions seems ... insufficient at this point.

The commander of the U.S. military base in Greenland sent out an email after Vance’s visit, rebuffing his criticism of Denmark as an ally. 👀 www.military.com/daily-news/2...

Forcing people to pay $130 for a passport in order to vote is just a Jim Crow poll tax by another name. It is blatantly unconstitutional.

Amy Klobuchar demanding to speak at the massive Hands Off Rally in Saint Paul and then spending the next week confirming Trump appointees is amazing. Just tremendous contempt for her constituents.

As a 20 year communications professional I’d like to offer Democrats my most sophisticated advice: While Trump is punching himself in the nuts, you could choose to 1. Also punch him in the nuts; or 2. Punch yourself in the nuts. I strongly advise number 1.

Q: I take that to mean you are not on board with trying to find “common ground” with Trump... A: @dananessel.bsky.social: "Common ground in destroying our federal system of government? His actions are antithetical to everything I've worked my entire life to support."

The fear among academics and lawyers now talking on the record on just about any topic that involves the federal government or the White House is really extraordinary and worrisome, and getting worse, it seems to me, every week. Dissent by an establishment figures becoming verboten in the US

This week, there were 7 confirmation votes in the Senate. And after millions and millions of people showed up over the weekend at #HandsOff events around the world, 18 Democrats joined with Republicans to confirm 5 of those nominees. Someone explain it to me like I'm 5.

The best offense is a good defense. Vaccinations are the defense. Just vaccinate your kids for heaven's sake.

With all due respect (i.e., zero) to the unanimous Senate Democratic Caucus, the baseline demand here beyond Khalil's release is Rubio's resignation

If the administration can exert federal oversight over Columbia, then any university is at risk. A collective response is needed. www.wsj.com/us-news/educ...

President Trump's popular vote victory was among the narrowest in modern U.S. history; it exceeds only the two elections (of Bush in 2000 and himself in 2016) in which the loser of the popular vote became the president.

Everything increasingly feels like a grift...

A successful military is not about killing people, killing people is the byproduct of holding territory and routing armies and shattering hostile infrastructure. That Hesgeth does not understand this basic tenet reinforces he, like other Trump appointees, lacks the core skills for his role.

Leavitt confirmed that the WH is working on deporting US citizens to El Salvador

Finally...

Make no mistake. This is straight up use of the military as a partisan tool. #civmilsky

For the #HandsOff , there were a group of seniors that couldn't make it to the Capitol. So they held their very own! 57 of them came out! Aged 67-104! They all walked down to the main street! So proud of them! They had s sign making day before the event! They sent this video to me to share.🥰

“It took 75 days of Donald Trump’s second presidency for voters to hit the streets en masse. Millions of people showed up this weekend for more than 1,200 anti-Trump demonstrations—all of them peaceful—throughout all 50 states, from Alaska to Alabama to Arizona.” www.vanityfair.com/news/story/t...

Already on it!

Make him veto it!

Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) has a bill to return tariff authority to Congress. If it were to pass, the purposeless tariffs would end. Speaker Johnson is blocking it. Call your member of Congress, R or D, & urge a discharge petition on the bill, which forces a vote. U.S. Capitol switchboard: 202-224-3121.

It is literally his f-ing job to know what the law says about that. He knows its illegal. Republicans know it's illegal. We all know it's illegal. #MakeItStop

Tesla protests take place at Tesla showrooms. Not sure why anti-fascist protests are taking place in town squares and city centers. Protest in front of the people you want to hear you.
